Meet the speaker for Boley Crowns Tea - Brooke Bassett! ๐ฉต
Brooke will discuss Boleyโs origin and meaning, and how Boley, along with all Oklahoma Black towns, was positioned as the โPromise Land.โ Attendees are invited to explore and discuss what the โPromise Landโ means in the 21st century to Boley residents.
Brooke Bassett is a political and advocacy operations marketing professional and leadership graduate candidate at the University of Oklahoma. By day, she helps launch and manage political and advocacy campaigns. By night, she studies organizational behavior, leadership, and the people side of performance.
After years of working across operations within the marketing space, Brooke became increasingly interested in the connection between workplace culture, leadership behavior, and the everyday experience of individual contributors. Her work examines organizational intentionality, psychological safety, and the gap between popular workplace culture practices and how they are actually experienced by Black women.
Brooke always wears the hat of a military spouse, adoptive mom, and autism advocate โ experiences that have deeply shaped her approach to leadership and building environments where people feel supported, understood, and empowered.
