Child care is a production problem.

“We’re missing production deadlines because childcare is a problem,” the State Chamber’s Adam Maxey told House lawmakers Wednesday. A voluntary “tri-share” proposal would divide costs among employers, families, and the state. The test: keep parents working without turning a raise into a financial penalty.
