The Company of the Lynx Argent does hereby recognize Sir Ryan Hetchler as the Herald of the Company, and is a Founding Knight of the Company. He is the leader of the Black-and-Gold Lance and his heraldry is recognized as such:

Sir Ryan kicks off our series of posts featuring our Knights, and it makes sense to begin with one of our Founders and the architect behind La Campaigne du Château. Stay tuned for more features.

Whether a long time member of the company, or a newcomer, all are welcome to enter the lyst and compete (as long as certain qualifications are met).

Here you see Sir Brian a tenured Knight in our company facing off against Jehan de Pelham, a long known but new attendee of La Campaigne. We are grateful for all faces, new and old, for choosing to spend time with us at our events.

“He was a true, a perfect gentle-knight.” - Chaucer

While our knights oft receive high praise and have their skills accounted for, we wanted to take a moment to thank and recognize all those who operate as a Squire, Valet or otherwise help others to perform at their best while at our events. Many men and women spent their time ensuring others were armored, hydrated and comfortable.

A Squire has a thankless job and often operates as a cook, tailor, blacksmith, nurse and/or therapist. There are too many to name, however we wanted to thank you for your time and your service to the company.

Last month, we had a Thanksgiving mini-skirmish where we were able to have old friends and new friends alike get together at Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge to march, fight and enjoy one another’s company.

Thankful for everyone who made it and made it a fun little experience.
