Coit's Food Truck will be back at Chapel Creek on 11/8/25. Drop by the pool anytime from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for one of their famous coneys, sodas, chips or a root beer float! It should be a great day to get out of the house, enjoy the fall weather and chat with your neighbors!

The 2025 Annual Member Meeting of the Chapel Creek HOA OKC occurred Tuesday September 23rd, 2025.

We were able to fill the 2 open two year terms with two very qualified candidates.

We look forward to their participation at the board meetings bringing a fresh point of view and valuable skills to the team.

I want to thank the current board members, Vice President Leonard Steyer, Secretary and Member at Large Jo Hefner, and Member at Large Treasa Melton, for all the work they did in preparing for the meeting and Patti Spain that helped with check-in etc. and any others I may have left out Many thanks go to Phillip Singleton for his work in the video booth, and the Metroplex Church of the Nazarene for the hospitality and provisions for the meeting.

Meeting Highlights:

There were 50 members present with 7 proxy votes. That is a great turnout according to the HOA attorney that told us to be happy if we have 10%-15% there. The total number of votes towards quorum including the proxy votes was 57. That is 36% of the required quorum of 157.

We went over information that will be made available on PayHOA in the documents folder under Chapel Creek HOA – Public Documents – General. Find the agenda and PowerPoint document we reviewed during the meeting in a folder titled Annual Member Meetings.

I encourage anyone that was not able to attend to review the PowerPoint pdf for information given about dying/dead trees in the urban sidewalk area, Oklahoma City Services information concerning repair of sidewalks, and other miscellaneous information.

Based on the quorum number needed, the number of members in attendance was 57 and was sufficient to meet the third quorum minimum of 40.

If you are planning to run for a HOA Board position, please submit the Candidate Request form as soon as possible so we can prepare the ballot. We will be accepting nominations at the meeting from the floor, but we’d like to know ASAP. Thanks!

JUST A REMINDER: If you have an interest in serving on the HOA Board, please submit your Nomination Form as soon as possible so we can have all names on the ballot for the Annual Meeting on September 23.

We desperately need Chapel Creek residents to volunteer to run for a Board position at the annual meeting on September 23. We currently have four Board members, all of whom are retired. We need young people to step up and be committed to keeping Chapel Creek a great place to live.

REMINDER: The Chapel Creek Annual Meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at 7:00 pm at Metroplex Church of the Nazarene at the corner of Hefner and County Line. If you cannot attend, please complete the Proxy form mailed to you earlier and either give it to someone who will be attending or request here to have a Board member pick it up from you.

Coits Food Truck will be on site at the pool serving up their famous coneys and root beer floats on Monday, August 11 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Take a break from back-to-school preparations - or just the bother of making dinner - and come buy dinner for your family! They'll have sodas and chips as well. Hope you see you there!

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. for the CC Annual HOA Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Metroplex Church of the Nazarene at 10801 N. County Line Rd. We will be taking nominations for and voting for new board members. Your attendance and input matter - please join us!
