The Cowboy's Rodeo Engagement Manager Joey Niebrugge checks in with a Postcard from the Rodeo Trail...

Described as the “tuffest of em all,” we were on hand as the Woodward Elks Rodeo celebrated 90 years of pro rodeo.

From the infamous Slash-O-Ranch Longhorns stampeding their way into the arena, kicking off the Grand Entry, to the Miss Rodeo Oklahoma pageant, the Woodward Elks Rodeo features familiar faces from the top cowboys, cowgirls, and animal athletes.

Speaking of familiar faces, we enjoyed seeing 2025 National Rodeo Hall of Fame inductee Charlie Throckmorton call the action, and fellow Hall of Famer Bennie Beutler, as Beutler & Son Rodeo provided the stock.

This hometown rodeo delivered on family entertainment, hometown pride and celebrating America’s 250th! - Joey.

The Cowboy team is keeping up with as many rodeos as we can during the busy summer season!

We have a special connection with one of them: the Ben Johnson Days rodeo, happening in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, today through Sunday. The rodeo honors Ben Johnson, an Oklahoma native and a member of both our National Rodeo Hall of Fame and Hall of Great Western Performers.

Johnson is also the namesake of the Ben Johnson Award, given every year by the National Rodeo Hall of Fame to those who have contributed to the "growth and betterment" of the sport.

We also want to congratulate the Ben Johnson Days rodeo for being named one of the top rodeos happening this summer by Western Horseman Magazine.
