TRIPLING the national average for category sales of FRESH PRODUCE in a location we were told it would never work.
This is not just the story of a grocery store.
This is the story of what’s possible when the community leads & partners follow.

A huge thank you to SO MANY partners without whom this would never have been possible, but especially to Homeland Stores who took a risk and bet on a partnership that didn't have any track record before anyone else would and to Inasmuch Foundation for their operating grant that ensured we could get this up and running & see it succeed not just as a grocery store, but as a health & community resource with outsized impact to rebuilding an economy. To every neighbor who ran over $5 after shifts or $10 when the social security came in, to the churches & pastors in our community who prayed, showed up, did the work with us. To our city & community leaders, to our corporate & foundation partners. It never would have happened without the community.

This is impact. This is ownership. This is restoration.
And today we are HUMBLED & celebrating!

In Oklahoma City, we don’t need an explanation for this image.

We remember where we were.
We remember the silence.
We remember the images that felt too evil to be real.

April 19 lives in our bones.

Trauma shapes cities. It shapes communities. It shapes families. Violence leaves marks long after the rubble is gone.

So, today we remember. We remember those we lost and we honor those first responders and others who knew they would witness impossible grief and went anyway.

And we recommit ourselves to becoming people who know what restoration looks like and work for it daily.
