Your spiritual enemy’s strategy to win the battle for your mind is to get you to believe lies. If you believe a lie, it can hold you back from doing what God’s called you to do. Remember, when we allow God to direct our thoughts, He gives us a new path, a new way to think, but we have to get on board, agree, and cooperate with Him.

We cannot rest in God's presence if we do not spend time in His presence.

God is a refuge to those who actively trust Him and seek His help.

Regardless of what difficulty you're experiencing, God is able to help you through it.

These are two ways that we can bring pleasure to God—by worshiping Him and loving others.

We love God by worshiping Him and praising Him. We love others by doing good to them and sharing with them.

How are you doing at loving God and loving others? Do you spend time each day in Scripture and prayer, praising God for who He is? If we don’t love God first and foremost, we won’t be able to truly love other people in our lives.

Jesus taught his disciples that the heart is the center of our lives. Our emotions and our desires flow from the condition of our heart. If God gets access to our heart, then the rest of our lives follow after. In Matthew 6:21, Jesus says that where our treasure is, there our heart will be also. The things that we treasure in our life reveal where our heart truly is. The things that we think about, spend our money on, and use our energy to attain—that is where our heart is. It’s not enough to just not let our hearts dwell on earthly things. Instead, we need to train our hearts to dwell on Jesus.

God, thank You for setting me free! Today, please show me how to serve others humbly with love. I appreciate the freedom You gave me—the freedom You bought for me. Please help me to embrace Your freedom by living with intentionality, and serving others joyously.
