Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association The Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association is the state trade association for the lodging industry.

Incorporated in 1981, the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association is Oklahoma's trade association for the lodging industry. The OH&LA actively provides operational, educational, technical, marketing and communications support, as well as legislative representation on behalf of Oklahoma's entire lodging industry. The OH&LA is a state partner of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), the voice of the $122.7 billion lodging industry, employing more than 1.8 million hotel property workers.

🏆 🏆 We are honored and grateful to announce that the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association has been recognized by the Society of Hotel Associations with a 2026 Award of Excellence for Events & Fundraising.

This prestigious recognition, accepted by OHLA President, Patti Spencer Colley during the group’s Summer Conference, celebrates the innovation, impact, and success of the Oklahoma Hospitality Leaders Dinner, a collaborative initiative proudly presented in partnership with the Oklahoma Restaurant Association and the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association. Special thanks to Premier Partner factor 110 event solutions for supporting our vision.

Created to unite Oklahoma’s restaurant, lodging, and tourism industries under one shared vision, the Oklahoma Hospitality Leaders Dinner has become a powerful platform for recognizing industry excellence, strengthening relationships, elevating advocacy efforts, and celebrating the people who make hospitality one of Oklahoma’s most important industries.

As we close out on the final day of the American Hotel & Lodging Association - AHLA Hotels On The Hill, the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association offers its sincerest appreciation to our members, including OHLA, Chair Chase Rollins of the Skirvin, a Hilton Hotel; Robert Slater of Southern Hospitality, Inc. and Ellison Hotel; Arti Patel For Women Hoteliers Director, Western Division of Pristine Hospitality; Jason Clark of the Ambassador Hotel Oklahoma City, Autograph Collection; Pete Patel, Promise Hotels; Tom Colley, OHLA and Michael Grisar of Choctaw Casinos & Resorts.

They dedicated two days to some of the most important engagement, we can ask for members - to advocate for the lodging in industry on both a federal and state level. The work you do helps to push industry initiatives forward and in front of our congressional members in Washington DC.

And in fine tradition, the event came to an end with our annual “Jump” photo!

The Oklahoma delegation was present yesterday to congratulate U.S. Rep. Kevin Hern as he was a recipient of the AHLA's Spirit of Hospitality Award.

The Spirit of Hospitality Award is presented in recognition of leadership in travel and tourism to representatives who have all been strong champions of AHLA's key priorities: addressing labor shortages, supporting travel and tourism, and protecting the franchise business model.

Proud to have members of the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association attending the American Hotel & Lodging Association - AHLA “Hotels on the Hill” event this week in Washington, D.C. — an event that reflects the strength, pride, and impact of the lodging industry nationwide.

Day one included OHLA members sharing their expertise as panelists during AHLA industry sessions, offering valuable industry insight and representing Oklahoma hospitality with professionalism and leadership.

Time was spent in important Senate appointments with the offices of U.S. Senator James Lankford and Senator Alan Armstrong, discussing critical industry priorities including H-2 visa programs, franchising rights, tourism funding, and GSA per diem rate structures.

Advocating for Oklahoma’s lodging industry and the hardworking people behind it remains essential to protecting and advancing hospitality’s future.

We were honored to join U.S. Representative Stephanie Bice today as a special guest of the historic Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City for a meaningful Heart of the House Tour.

Accompanied by tenured Skirvin team members, General Manager Chase Rollins, Katrina Harris of Congresswoman Bice’s local office, Olivia Shamy of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, Brittany Carey of Hilton Federal Government Affairs, and James Leewright and Patti Colley of OHLA, Rep. Bice experienced both the front and back of house operations that keep this iconic property running each day.

From learning the rich history of the Skirvin, to hearing stories directly from team members, to discussing the importance of hospitality as Oklahoma’s third-largest industry, today’s tour was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the heart of the hotel industry.

As an unexpected bonus, we also had the pleasure of running into Oklahoma favorites and Rep. Bice’s friends, Governor Frank Keating and Mrs. Keating, making the day even more special.

Thank you to the Skirvin Hilton team for being such gracious and impressive hosts, and for helping educate policymakers about the people, passion, and professionalism that power hospitality in Oklahoma.
