There is no path forward to a just and flourishing Oklahoma unless we reckon with the reality of suffering in our past and present and come to some understanding of the underlying reality that has contributed to this suffering so that our future does not keep rhyming with the injustices of our past.

The Human Community Network invites you to a free seven-week series of conversations to address suffering in Oklahoma and the needed work to transform the underlying reality that continues to drive suffering in our state. The series will be led and facilitated by Mark Davies, Director of the World House Institute for Social and Ecological Responsibility at Oklahoma City University. Although the focus of the conversations will be on suffering in Oklahoma, persons from all locations are invited to participate as we all learn from one another.

The sessions will be on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the following dates:

November 13 - A History of Suffering in Oklahoma
November 20 - Racism and Suffering in Oklahoma
December 4 - Fossil Fueled Suffering in Oklahoma
December 11 - The Suffering of Our Schools in Oklahoma
December 18 - Healthcare and Suffering in Oklahoma
