Any students interested in being part of the reenactment of the Battle of Puebla celebrating Cinco de Mayo are welcome to apply below!

The reenactment will be a great volunteer opportunity and a fantastic and enriching cultural experience!

Cinco de Mayo - Reenactment of the Battle of Puebla
Ages 10 - 18

Students will perform a reenactment of the Battle of Puebla at the Cinco de Mayo Festival at Scissortail Park on May 2, 2021. Students are required to attend 3 rehearsals: April 17, April 24, and May 1st. Performance will be on May 2nd at 7:25pm (call time at 6:30pm) and will be recorded.

⭐ We have GREAT NEWS for Aspiring Americans scholars!!!

2020 was a very challenging year for us to stay afloat and continue our scholarship program. The main funding sources, which came from local fundraising initiatives, were reduced to zero.

An anonymous donor came forward and made a donation to fund scholarships for 10 Aspiring Americans students during the 2021-2022 school year.

We are deeply thankful for the support of our partners at Communities Foundation of Oklahoma (CFO) for their help facilitating this donation.

Scholarship applications are now open. The system has changed, and now our scholars will be able to apply to not only the Aspire Higher scholarship but also to dozens of other scholarships available through the CFO site. Maximizing the opportunity to receive one or more scholarships.

🚨🚨🚨TO APPLY: visit www.cfok.org/apply and complete the “2021 Universal Scholarship Application” answer each question carefully and honestly.

The system will take it from there, and allow you to apply for the Aspiring Americans scholarship and other scholarships you could be eligible for. We will be posting additional instructions so check out our page. Message us if you have questions!

DACA está de vuelta!

Hoy un Juez de Nueva York dictamino que se reintegra el programa asi como se introdujo originalmente en el 2017. Esto indica que se deberán aceptar nuevas aplicaciones, renovaciones de 2 años y libertad condicional anticipada.

We’re excited at the launch of Aim Higher Program!!!

We are beyond proud and excited to FINALLY introduce the Aim Higher Program!

Aim Higher is a program focused on helping eighth grade students understand the importance of high school by providing knowledge on how to navigate their four-year journey before entering the world of higher education. Through Aim Higher, students will be taught the importance of academic achievement, community service, effective leadership, and professional development for a noticeable high school career. Aim Higher also provides students with necessary mentorship connections to support their personal aspirations. ✨

The team you see here is full of individuals who believe in our youth and want to see our future leaders succeed in every way imaginable.

We will continue working every day to make this program a beneficial resource for our Oklahoma City students. 📚

This 1 year fellowship is focused on building Oklahoma's new wave of community organizers. Now more than ever young people have the power to build the change we wish to see in our immigrant communities. We want to encourage those who believe in contributing to our resilience as young, q***r, people of color, to apply.

Qualifications:
- Must attend a High School in the Oklahoma City metro area
- Must be willing to commit to about 5 hours of work per week
- Students will be compensated in the amount of $1,000 for a 1 year (academic) term
