Sooner Job ChalleNGe is an optional next step for graduates of the Thunderbird ChalleNGe Program. At Sooner Job ChalleNGe, Associates will build upon the life and leadership skills they have already begun to develop at Thunderbird, while having the opportunity to further their success through career readiness and vocational training at Metro Tech. 📣 Cycle #1: January - June 2025 (Final dates will be announced soon.) Applicants must be:
✅ A graduate of the Thunderbird Challenge Program
✅ Ages 16.5-20 years old and at least a high school junior
✅ High school graduate, or on track to earn a high school diploma by the end of the program
✅ U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States
✅ No felony convictions or pending felony charges
✅ Free of illegal drug use

We will never forget!

There are days you never forget, even if you weren’t there. In Oklahoma, April 19 still carries a weight that settles in the chest the second you say it.

This memorial in downtown Oklahoma City is simple in the best way, with that long field of empty chairs lined up in rows, each one marking a life lost. The reflecting pool and the surviving gateposts keep everything quiet and measured, and that’s exactly right.

You don’t walk away from a place like this without slowing down a little. It asks for your attention, and it deserves it.

It was a great time to reflect on how far they’ve come and recognize the hard work, dedication, and perseverance each graduate has shown along the way. We’re so proud of all they’ve achieved and can’t wait to see where their next chapter takes them!
