Have a donor-advised fund? Today is the perfect day to put it to work!

It’s , a day to recommend grants from your DAF to the causes closest to your heart.

At Sam The I Can Man Foundation, we fund the equipment, activities and experiences that help individuals with differing abilities achieve their “I Can Too” dreams, especially when insurance and traditional funding can’t.

The need keeps growing. We’ve already funded 45 applications in 2026, and our Fall 2026 grant cycle alone brought in more than 80 applicants.

Sam lived by “If they can do it, I can too.” A gift from your DAF helps someone else say the same about their own dream.

To everyone who already gives through a donor-advised fund, thank you! It means so much.

This week is interview week for our team! Interview weeks are incredibly special because we get the great pleasure of meeting our I Can community, face to face. It is also when we ensure every application is fully qualified AND make sure we can meet the needs of selected applicants.

Fall 2026 I Can Too Grant applications have officially CLOSED! Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word, took the time to apply, and donated during the month of September. 💛

If you applied during this round, keep your eyes peeled! Interview requests are going out to all qualified applicants this week via email.

Two years ago today, we lost Sam, but we have never lost the impact he continues to have on the world around us. As we honor his memory, we are reminded that this foundation exists because of his determination, resilience, and belief in the power of “I Can Too.” While we miss him every day, we are grateful for every applicant, family, and organization we meet who carries forward his spirit and reminds us that “We Can Too.”

Sam was always meant to be part of this foundation; today, he simply leads it in a different way. His legacy lives on through each applicant, and through the experiences, activities, and equipment we provide, reminding us all to believe in “I Can Too.” 💙
