SkillsUSA is in full swing at OCCC today! Huge thanks to Mercedes‑Benz, Group 1 Auto Sales, Fowler Automotive, and Eskridge Honda for showing up to support Oklahoma students as they compete for the tools and opportunities that launch real careers.

OCCC’s Automotive Technology Program gives students the edge — ASE‑certified instruction, real‑world training, and a direct path to high‑demand jobs after completing their two‑year degree.

These students are the future of the industry, and they’re shining today.

Please continue to monitor official OCCC channels for updates.

Alumni Spotlight: Jim Agosta

Meet Jim Agosta, an OCCC graduate whose career journey shows the power of perseverance, professionalism, and the right educational foundation. Today, Jim is making a meaningful impact at the Love’s Corporate Office in Oklahoma City, where he has grown through two promotions and now serves as a Tier II Customer Service Representative.

Jim’s path began at OCCC, where he found an environment that supported both his goals and his growth. He chose OCCC because it fit his budget, but quickly discovered a campus community that valued him as a person. Faculty members like Professor Myrick, Professor James Buckaloo, and Professor Anglin all invested in his success, helping shape the confidence and work ethic he carries into his career today.

Now part of a major Oklahoma-based company known for its strong values and steady growth, Jim continues to embody what it means to be OCCC Proud.

His advice for today’s students: “Hang in there. You’re working so hard, and it will be worth it. Brighter days are ahead, and finishing your education will open doors you haven’t even imagined yet.”

Congratulations to Jim on all his accomplishments. We’re proud to celebrate his journey and look forward to all he will continue to achieve.

Thinking about creating a trust?

The first step is simple—but powerful: clarify your goals.
Before any paperwork begins, it’s important to decide why you want a trust, who it should benefit, and how you want your legacy to make an impact.

For many, that impact includes supporting education and changing lives at Oklahoma City Community College—now and for generations to come.

Learn how thoughtful planning can create lasting opportunities.
