➡What's the last book you read? I am currently reading "How highly effective people speak" by Peter Andrei and listening to "Talking to Strangers: What We Should Know about the People We Don't Know" by Malcolm Gladwell on my commutes.

➡If you could plan a vacation to anywhere in the world, where would you go? New Zealand.

➡Who (or what) inspires you? I wouldn't be who I am if it wasn't for the nonprofit services my family received while I was growing up.

➡What's one thing - either industry-related or not - you learned in the last month? That regular people can build courses to be accepted and accredited for Universities.

To kick off our monthly Membership Spotlight series, we are featuring a fellow LINC Oklahoma member, Torie Shoecraft, President of the Oklahoma City AFT!

🔗 Why did you join LINC Oklahoma? I joined LINC for all of the obvious reasons! Networking, meeting friends, participating in programming will add value to my life and career, and the birthday shout-out email is just a bonus. 😊

➡️What's something about you that not many people know? I am an introvert who tries tirelessly to be an extrovert. I know I am not alone on that!

➡️What's the last book you read? The Wrong Family by Tarryn Fisher. I'm on a fiction groove right now, and this was a superb psychological thriller.

➡️What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment to date? Being elected as the first black president of my local is my greatest accomplishment to date.

➡️What is one item you cannot live without? Chapstick, and it is scary how fast I answered this question!

➡️Who would you choose to switch places with for a day? Gayle King, I have zero interest in being a national news anchor, but living in Gayle's shoes for a day would be a dream come true.
