After two full days of working so hard, these students have officially SOLD OUT of ice cream! And I’m not talking about a small amount…..I'm talking hundreds of servings gone!

They also completely sold out of the Strawberry Chocolate Dubai Brownies, which were a huge hit.

The last two days have been full of hard work, early mornings, late nights, and these students giving their hearts 100%. I am exhausted and I know they are too, but they absolutely showed up and gave it everything they had. Watching them hustle, work together, serve people, and take pride in what they’re doing makes this teacher heart so proud.

I know I say it a lot, but I truly have the best job and the best students. Getting to be their teacher and FCCLA advisor is something I never take for granted. These kids work hard, support each other, and continue to amaze me every single day!

Anyone wanna take a guess what was happening after school today? 👀

Let’s just say it involved a big pot of homemade comfort food and a whole pan of chocolate goodness drizzled to perfection. When students choose to stay late to cook, create, laugh, and learn together, that’s when the magic happens.
So proud of the time, effort, and heart that went into this. After-school moments like this are the best kind. 😍

What an incredible and inspiring day at the Capitol on Thursday for FCS Day! ❤️🏛️ I had the honor of taking four amazing students who represented our Family and Consumer Sciences program with confidence, professionalism, and pride. Watching them step into a real-world setting and share their passion for FCS reminded me exactly why these opportunities matter so much.

One of the biggest highlights was getting to meet with our Representative Neil Hays . Our students had meaningful conversations with him about the impact of Family and Consumer Sciences education, the skills they are gaining, and how programs like ours truly prepare students for real life. Seeing them advocate for their program and speak with confidence made this teacher incredibly proud.

Walking through the Capitol and seeing a sea of red jackets was absolutely amazing. Students from across the state came together representing FCS and FCCLA, and the energy in the room was something special. It was a powerful reminder that we are part of something bigger, a statewide community that believes in leadership, service, and building strong futures.

Days like this go far beyond the classroom. They build confidence, leadership, and real-world connections, and I could not be more proud of these students for representing our program so well. More than anything, I am incredibly thankful that I get to be their teacher and advisor. Getting to watch these students grow into leaders, use their voices, and represent something they believe in is truly the greatest reward. Moments like this remind me how blessed I am to do what I love every single day, and I could not be more proud to stand beside them on this journey. ❤️🐾💙🤍

Love this!

More than 26,000 students across the state are now part of Oklahoma FCCLA, marking record membership during National FCCLA Week.

Leaders say the organization has added more than 4,000 members in just two years as interest in CareerTech and family and consumer sciences continues to expand.

State President Kendall Stout, Vice President of Competitive Events Audree Elder and Vice President of Programs Gracelyn Vails say FCCLA is helping students build leadership skills, confidence and real-world experience through competitive events and hands-on classes.

“I was the kind of kid freshman year where I wouldn’t even raise my hand in class,” Vails said. “Now I get to be here doing this, and I just want to give other kids that experience.”

The group is now preparing for its state convention in April, where new officers will be elected.

So incredibly proud of these students for choosing to spend their Friday night giving back in the most meaningful way. Watching them step up, serve others, and represent Checotah FCCLA with heart is something I never take lightly.

Tonight we have the honor of volunteering as Buddies for Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine - Eufaula, Oklahoma. This incredible event celebrates individuals with special needs, with a night full of joy, love, and unforgettable moments, and I could not be prouder of the way these students show up for their community.

From cheering on guests along the red carpet to simply being a smiling face beside someone who deserves to feel celebrated, every moment matters. Nights like this are a reminder that FCCLA is so much more than competitions and classrooms. It is students learning to lead with compassion, kindness, and purpose, and I hope this is something we continue to be part of for many years to come.

When your students love Crumbl cookies so much that they decide to make them themselves 😍 And let’s be real here, we all know I am a sucker for a good cookie so I was definitely excited for them to tackle this challenge!

They came after school and absolutely blew me away. From start to finish they went all in and even made their own butter. I could not have been more impressed in what they created.

Check out their version of the Waffle Crumbl Cookie. Golden soft and way better than I ever expected. This is exactly why I love what I do. 🍪🧈

This year’s District STAR Events have officially come to an end.

It took me a while to find the right words, because days like yesterday carry a lot of emotion. It was a full day of nerves, courage, learning, and growth, and one that these students will carry with them far beyond yesterday. Next up is State STAR Events, and yesterday gave us exactly what we needed as we move forward.

I am so incredibly proud of every single student who competed. They poured their hearts and souls into their work. They showed up prepared, brave, and willing to put themselves out there in front of people they had never met before to be judged. That alone takes courage, confidence, and strength, and it matters more than any score.

While yesterday didn’t bring the outcomes we hoped for, it brought clarity and growth. We now know what to work on, how to improve, and how to move forward as we prepare for new events at State. The path to success is rarely easy. It is built through moments like this, through reflection, resilience, and the willingness to keep going even when it is hard.

It never feels good when things don’t go the way you hoped, but these moments shape you. They teach you. They make you stronger and more prepared for what comes next. Yesterday mattered. The effort mattered. And these students absolutely mattered.

No matter the outcome, I believe in these students with my whole heart. I am so proud of who they are, the work they did, and the courage they showed. Being their teacher and FCCLA advisor is a true blessing, and I will always be in their corner ❤️🐾🤍

Competition Day.

Up early. Bags packed. Projects ready. Confidence on full display. These 12 students showed up prepared, focused, and ready to do exactly what they’ve been working toward for weeks.

They are walking in with knowledge, skill, heart, and grit. They know their work. They trust their preparation. They are ready to speak with confidence and stand behind what they created.

They did the work. They’re ready. Now it’s time to trust it and go do the thing. Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it 🤍🐾❤️

The calm before the storm.
An empty room. Projects laid out. Bags packed. Not a sound, but so much heart sitting in this space.
The last student walked out at 7:53 tonight after weeks and weeks of late nights, hard work, frustration, growth, and giving it everything they had.

I get to help 12 incredible students learn how to life. How to show up prepared, take pride in their work, push through the hard parts, and believe in themselves when it matters most. Every table in this room tells that story. Every project here represents time, effort, and commitment. None of it went unnoticed.

We head to Owasso bright and early tomorrow ready to compete and ready to show what these students are capable of. No matter what happens, they have already done something big. No matter the results, they have already WON!

Forever proud to be their teacher, their hype mama, and their FCCLA advisor. Let’s GO ❤️🤍🐾🔥
