The Ryan Wood Freedom Art Endowed Scholarship Fund The Sgt Ryan Wood Freedom Art Endowed Scholarship has been established to award an art or art education student at The University of Central Oklahoma

Two scholarships awarded every May. The first scholarship is: The Sgt Ryan Wood Freedom Art Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship is open to incoming Freshman, Sophomore, Junior & Senior students. Student must submit a piece of art work (any medium) and a 250 word essay, titled, "What Freedom Means to Me." The artwork must tie into the essay. The second scholarship is: The Sgt Ryan Wood Community

Service Award. This scholarship is awarded to an art student who has exhibited a love of community and the world around them by volunteerism and outreach. This years' recipient of both scholarships is Kenna Baker. Kenna is not only a very talented artist, but is continually reaching out to a world in need. She is simply a wonderful human being, and we are so happy to have the opportunity to be a part of both her educational and personal life. Congratulations Kenna! Well deserved! This is Ryan's birthday week. July 11th he would have been 35 years old. This year in memory of his birthday, I would ask you to consider honoring him by donating to his Academy of Contemporary Music Scholarship at the University of Central Oklahoma. There is no limit to the number of times or amount you may donate. No gift is too small. I will leave you with a quote from Ryan:
