When we serve our unhoused neighbors, we know we're often serving more than one life.

Many of the people we meet consider their pets family. Whether it's a loyal dog by their side or an unconventional companion like a pet snake, these animals provide comfort, companionship, protection, and unconditional love through life's hardest moments.

That's why at Solomon's Porch Ministry Outreach, we strive to care for the whole person—and the companions who walk life's journey with them. A kind word, a meal, supplies, or simply acknowledging the importance of their beloved pet reminds our neighbors that they are seen, respected, and valued.

Compassion doesn't stop with people. It reaches every life touched by our outreach.

Together, we're building a community where everyone matters—two-legged, four-legged, or even those who slither.

❤️ Because love knows no boundaries.

Jesus, I praise You because You are the God who stays with me. Your promise that You are with me always fills my heart with courage and peace. Thank You for being the steady presence that anchors me when life stretches me in new ways. I worship You for Your faithfulness, for the way You are beside me in the calling You give, especially when doubts enter in my thoughts. You are my constant companion, my confidence, and my comfort. I honor You Jesus for being near, patient, and present in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Sometimes, transformation begins with something as simple as a haircut.

For our unhoused neighbors, sitting in a barber's chair is about more than getting cleaned up. Sometimes, it's about being seen, valued, and treated with dignity. A fresh haircut can restore confidence, open doors to job opportunities, and remind someone that they are worthy of care and respect.

At Solomon's Porch Ministry Outreach, every haircut is an act of compassion. It's a conversation, a moment of encouragement, and a tangible reminder that hope is never out of reach.

Because when someone looks in the mirror and smiles at the person looking back, that's more than a new hairstyle; it's the beginning of transformation.

Thank you to our amazing volunteer barbers and everyone who helps make these moments possible. Together, we're restoring hope, one haircut at a time.

Father, I praise You as the one true God, the source of my life and everything I have. You are the One from whom all things come and the One for whom I live. Thank You for giving me Jesus, my Lord, through whom I have been saved and through whom I now walk in new life. Help me live today in full awareness that my life flows from You and belongs to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Today at Solomon's Porch Ministry, 35 volunteers gathered under some scorching triple-digit temperatures to serve our homeless community.

We provided over 173 meals, along with 16 haircuts—some of which included hair washes and the option for a blow-dry, a sign that our hair team is growing and expanding.

In addition to the meals and haircuts, we distributed 80 pounds of dog food, 10 pounds of cat food, 20 gallons of fresh lemonade, six cases of water, and nearly 300 pieces of clothing. We also provided around 500 individual snacks and had tables set up so we could sit with everyone, chat, and take prayer requests.

We were delighted to be joined by another nonprofit, "In The Trenches," who shares our mission of ministering to those in need on the streets.

We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Homeless Alliance for allowing us to use their parking lot and facilities for the haircuts. We are incredibly grateful for the collaboration and look forward to partnering with even more nonprofits in the future.
