Solomon’s Porch Ministry is honored to recognize Dustin Rogers as our Hero of the Month.

For the past two years, Dustin has been a steady and dependable part of our outreach, showing up with a servant’s heart and a genuine desire to help others. Dustin is known for his enthusiastic invitations—he doesn’t just serve; he actively encourages people to join in serving the homeless.

Whether speaking with friends, coworkers, or someone he meets in passing, Dustin is always extending the call to step in and make a difference. Each month, he brings extra food and supplies to ensure our team has what we need to care for our guests. He is quick to lend a helping hand, stepping into any role that needs support, from organizing items to assisting volunteers to clearing out his very own closet to clothe others. His readiness and reliability strengthen the entire ministry. And his humor is part of what makes him unforgettable. Dustin has a way of making people laugh, easing tension, and helping everyone feel welcomed. His lightheartedness creates an atmosphere where guests feel comfortable and volunteers feel connected.

We celebrate Dustin this month for his generosity, his leadership in inviting others to serve, and the warmth he brings to Solomon’s Porch Ministry. His service reflects the heart of Christ—steady, welcoming, and full of grace.

Winter is coming, and for someone without a safe, warm place to call home, the cold can be more than uncomfortable—it can be dangerous.

This season, Solomon’s Porch Ministry OKC is preparing to serve our unhoused community with warmth, dignity, and hope. ❤️

We’re collecting winter essentials to help provide protection and comfort when temperatures drop.

We’re collecting:
🧥 Jackets
⛺ Tents
🛏️ Sleeping bags
🧣 Blankets
🥾 Boots & shoes

📅 Collection Dates: October 1 – November 15

I have just finished unloading all the Bibles from my car that were donated from NORTHCHURCH into containers to take to the Homeless this Saturday.

God you are so good, so so good, thank you for the way you bless this ministry so we can meet physical and spiritual needs. Lord I ask you bless each person who donated with a double portion of what they need in their life right now. Lord, I ask that you direct people to the right Bibles just for them on Saturday. Lord bless the volunteer who picked up reading glasses for those who need them to read your Word. Thank you Father for your kindness, compassion, and generosity towards us. In Your holy and precious name Jesus Amen.

Father, Thank You for revealing Your character to us: compassionate, merciful, tender, patient, and steady are only a few descriptions of who You really are. Thank You for dealing with me in mercy and not giving me the punishment I deserve for the sins I commit. You tower over my life, and You choose to remove my sins from me as far as the east is from the west. You remember that I am made from dust and yet You choose to cover me completely with Your characteristics. Lord, make me more like You and less like the dirt I come from. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
