Congratulations to our November OKC Awesome Foundation grant winner, Robbi Fox! Follow along with Robbi as she reimagines beloved children’s book characters as children of color in order to promote more diversity and inclusion in art and literature.

Congratulations to our August 2019 Grant Winner, Granny’s Community Garden!

Rose Knight and Sherry Graham founded Granny’s Community Garden in Perry, Oklahoma to serve their local community of 5,000 residents. The garden provides meals for the local soup kitchen, youth groups, elderly, families and children, churches, and more. Not only do they fill hungry bellies, but they’re investing in the community by teaching a valuable and lasting skill.

We could not be more excited to help tell their story and to help them grow into the 2020 harvest!

An awesome city makes for a busy summer for OKC Awesome! Check out all of the various projects we've been funding at the link below. And with changing seasons, we're looking for a new wave of projects. Monthly grant deadlines are always at the last Thursday of the month. The deadline for the November award is this Thursday, October 29th.
