On 17 September Choctaw was the first Division 40 Club to hold their annual Installation Dinner. Dottie Meyer opened her lovely house to the occasion.

I just left the Jones Noon Club Meeting. After an eloquent proposal made by Kelly Poland, the Jones Club has decided to commit to becoming an Eliminate Model Club. What great news. At $750 per member spread out over the next five years, it is a $26,250 commitment. Before that causes you heart palpitations, remember it is only $2.88 per member per week (your club would have the same per person obligation). The Jones Kiwanis Club's pledge will protect the lives of over 14,000 women and their unborn children in third world countries. The Jones Club is such an important part of our division 40 family, now they are also an important and life saving part of our world. Congratulations Jones Club and their President Jim Selders and of course Kelly Poland for pointing the way. Way to go!!!!!!
