Asian District of OKC Eat, shop, and explore the historic Asian District located in the heart of Oklahoma City!⛩ In the 1970’s, Oklahomans welcome Vietnamese refugees with open arms.

Oklahoma City’s food and culture is alive and well in the Asian District. Today, you will find Asian cultural events, the best Asian restaurants in OKC, including the most authentic Vietnamese food found anywhere in the state. The mission of the Asian District Cultural Association is to promote the Asian District and host cultural events to preserve our Asian heritage for future generations. Introducing the 2026–2027 Asian District Youth Board!

On October 11th, the Asian District Youth Board (ADYB) welcomed its newest cohort during Orientation, kicking off another year of youth-led leadership, service, cultural connection, and community engagement.

This year's applicant pool was the largest in ADYB history, making the selection process especially competitive. We are excited to welcome 27 students representing 17 different schools and 11 diverse Asian nationalities and backgrounds from across the Oklahoma City metro.

Leading this year's board as Co-Presidents are Lacey Do of Piedmont High School and Jeremiah Yim of Classen SAS High School at Northeast.

Meet our Food Eating Contest host, Chef Waseem Ahmed!

Chef Waseem is the chef and owner of Kebabish Bites, a Pakistani and Indian restaurant in Norman that he has proudly operated since 2019. His passion for food goes beyond the restaurant; he has taught cooking classes throughout the community at Pioneer Library, the Adult Wellness Center and International Pantry and recently began teaching at Francis Tuttle Technology Center.

For Chef Waseem, food is about culture, community and bringing people together, making him the perfect person to take the stage for this year’s Food Eating Contest!

The Asian District Cultural Association is looking for photographers and videographers to help us capture the energy, culture, people, performances, and unforgettable moments of the 2026 Asian Night Market Festival!

📍 OKC Asian District: Military Park 1200 NW 25th St.
📅 October 2–3, 2026
⏰ 5:00–11:00 PM each night

We’re looking for creatives who want to build their portfolio, experience a huge cultural festival from behind the scenes, and help us tell the story of Asian Night Market through photo and video.

This is a volunteer, unpaid opportunity. In appreciation for your time and creative work, selected photographers and videographers will receive an Asian Night Market Media Pass with special event access and additional perks.

✨ WHAT YOU'LL GET:
• 🎟️ Media Pass for Asian Night Market
• 🎤 Access to backstage
• 📸 Opportunities to capture performances, artists, vendors, attendees, and festival experiences
