October 13th is INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ DAY that honors the history, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples, especially in the United States and Canada, and serves as a celebration of their resilience and sovereignty.

If you haven’t yet, do yourself a favor and visit the First American’s Museum (FAM) in Oklahoma City.
It is as much an “education” as it is a celebration, offering a powerful journey through the history, culture, and resilience of America’s first people, told in their own voices.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Loretta Barrett Oden, Citizen Potawatomi Nation at today! The first restaurant of its kind to serve indigenous foods of the 39 nations. Beautifully presented and VERY good. 39 is located at FAM . This concept has been in the making for years! Congrats to Chef Oden and her team. Please visit!
