Eris would thrive in an active home that can keep up with her playful spirit. She’d love a dog sibling to wrestle and romp with, but she’s confident enough to shine as an only dog too, as long as she has plenty of exercise, enrichment, and adventures.

Apollo may be the biggest pup in his litter, but underneath those chunky paws and soulful eyes is a sweet, sensitive boy who just wants to know he’s safe and loved.

His signature move? Neck hugs 💕

While most puppies hand out kisses, Apollo wraps his front legs around your neck when you pick him up and melts right into you. It’s his special way of saying, “I trust you.”

This handsome 10 week old puppy loves to play, wrestle with his dog friends, and explore the world around him. He’s happiest with other dogs and would thrive with a playful, confident canine sibling who can show him the ropes and help build his confidence.

Like any 10-week-old puppy, Apollo is still learning the basics: potty training, leash skills, and all the important puppy life lessons. He’s looking for a family ready to guide him through those milestones with patience, consistency, and lots of love.

Apollo would do best with older children who understand how to respect puppy boundaries and help him continue building confidence as he grows.

Apollo’s future is incredibly bright. He’s simply looking for a family who will cheer him on, celebrate his victories, and remind him that the world is full of good things.

We recently pulled a beautiful Beagle mix from a small rural shelter. Lilly is just the sweetest girl. She deserves treatment for her disease, and a chance to find a forever loving home!

Sadly, she tested positive for heartworm disease, and we have started her pretreatment meds. This makes our 6th heartworm case in 2 months! Besides being very hard on the dog, treatment is expensive but works!

We need help with Lilly's bill! We have no paid employees, so every cent of every donation goes toward the care of the dogs we have in our program.

Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward treating Lilly with any additional funds going to outstanding medical bills.

‼️PLEASE SHARE - HOW IS FIG STILL WAITING?‼️ Remember baby Fig? Our tiny miracle with the ultimate glow-up story is now 8 months old and has been waiting way too long for a family of his own 😢 Please share Fig’s story and let’s find him the home he deserves ❤️

At just one week old, Fig arrived at rescue barely bigger than your hand — fragile, fighting, and needing tube-feedings around the clock. His first weeks of life were spent tucked close, fed gently and carefully, every single meal a tiny victory.

Then came a diagnosis no puppy should face at 3½ weeks old: megaesophagus.

But Fig? He didn’t read the odds.

Picture this: a wiggly baby propped upright for every feeding, medication on board, foster mom cheering him on like he was winning Olympic gold instead of just finishing breakfast. Day by day, ounce by ounce, he grew stronger. And then — the miracle.

By three months old, advanced testing showed something incredible: his condition was resolving.
The medication? Gone.
The feeding chair? Retired.
The fear? Replaced with celebration. 🎉

Fast-forward to today…

Fig is a thriving, happy 6-month-old bundle of joy who eats and drinks like any other dog. His only “special request”? A splash of water on his kibble. No soaking. No complicated routine. Just add water and serve with love.

Because his early weeks were spent so closely bonded to his foster mom, Fig loves deeply and attaches hard. A new home may feel big at first — but once he knows he’s safe, he absolutely blooms. And when he blooms? It’s a full production.

🌟 He brings main-character energy to every play session.

Fig is the life of the party! He’s the one rallying the group for “just one more round” of zoomies. He would thrive with larger, playful dogs who can match his enthusiasm. Tiny pups might find his enthusiastic wrestling style a bit… ambitious. 😅

He’s making great progress with potty training and does best with a steady routine. He understands what to do but he just sometimes can’t quite hold it as long as he plans. Puppy life!

Fetch? Quickly becoming his favorite hobby.
Cats? He treats them like mildly confusing dog siblings — attempts play, shrugs at rejection, trots away without a care in the world.

🚨 FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED FOR CHARLIE - PLEASE SHARE 🚨

Please help us find a soft landing spot for Charlie, a VERY handsome 2-year-old Cowboy Corgi with the happiest personality and the cutest little face. ❤️

Charlie has been in a loving foster home, but due to a family emergency, he now needs a new placement. He is loving, cheerful, and ready to be someone’s sidekick. He loves small toys, enjoys calm dog friends, and would also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as an only pup. He’s doggie door trained, though like many male dogs he may mark for the first few days in a new home. Don’t worry, we’ll send belly bands for the transition! Without a doggie door, he’ll just need some structure and routine while he learns your potty schedule.

Now for the fine print… and why Charlie desperately needs a foster home.

Charlie is heartworm positive and needs a foster or foster-to-adopt family willing to help him through his final 2 heartworm treatment appointments. During treatment, he needs a calm environment with low activity so his heart rate stays down. He will need to be crated when left alone or during active times (crate provided by us).

The good news: heartworm treatment is temporary, fully manageable, and Charlie will have no lasting medical issues once treatment is complete. He just needs someone willing to help him through this short chapter so he can have the long, happy life he deserves.

FOSTER FOUND! Thank you Miller family!

We have to try and save this kid! Sweet, 9-years old, good with other dogs. He was owner surrendered to a small rural shelter. Speedy tested positive for heartworm.

It's pretty obvious that nobody will adopt him as they would be taking on a treatment cost of $500+ for the heartworm treatment.

Is anyone here willing to foster Speedy so we can treat him and find him a loving forever home?

The rescue covers the medical and can provide a crate and/or food if needed.

🌼 Meet/SHARE/Adopt Willow 🌼

Willow is ready to officially retire from motherhood and is now accepting applications for her next very important role: spoiled house princess. 👑

This adorable 2.5-year-old Chihuahua mix came into rescue after being pulled from a local shelter while extremely pregnant and already in labor. She safely delivered and raised her 6 puppies in her foster home, and she was an amazing mama every step of the way. Sweet, gentle, patient, and loving.

But now? Willow is ready for the easy life.

She’s the kind of dog who fits effortlessly into a home. She’s calm, affectionate, and happiest curled up beside her person or stretched out in the sunshine in the backyard. Willow loves sleeping in bed with her person, carrying around little toys, chewing on chew sticks, and quietly following her favorite humans from room to room just to be close.

Willow’s favorite things:
☀️ Sunbathing in the backyard
🧸 Tiny toys
🦴 Chew sticks
🛏 Sleeping in bed with her people
❤️ Being someone’s little shadow

Willow gets along well with other small dogs her size, but she would also absolutely thrive as an only dog where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. She isn’t needy or demanding, she just genuinely loves being part of someone’s daily life.

She is doggie-door trained and has wonderful manners in her foster home. In fact, she is so trustworthy that she is not crated when her foster mom leaves because Willow has perfect house behavior. Without a doggie door, she will likely need some reminders and routine for house training while adjusting to a new home.

Willow has done the hard part already. She survived the shelter, raised her babies, and gave them the best start possible. Now it’s finally her turn to be cared for, spoiled, and deeply loved for the rest of her life.

And honestly? She deserves nothing less.

Willow is Spayed, Fully Vaccinated, Current on Heartworm prevention, and Microchipped. She will need a teeth cleaning soon which the rescue will provide.

🚨 FOSTERS NEEDED 🚨

Meet Larry, Moe, and Curly — three 4-week-old bully puppies looking for foster homes and a second chance at life. ❤️

Last week, this litter was taken to a local shelter. Three puppies were given away while the finder was waiting in line. These three boys were surrendered and now they need safe, loving homes where they can grow, learn, and thrive.

These sweet, playful pups do NOT need to stay together, but each puppy does need a foster home with another friendly dog to help build confidence and companionship. 🐾

Forever Year’s Dog Rescue will provide:

✔️ A kennel if needed

The boys will also be neutered in approximately 4 weeks and will be given age appropriate vaccines along the way.
