Mitchell’s Shade stands with everyone facing breast cancer—those in treatment, those living with it, and survivors navigating life beyond their diagnosis. We also hold close the families, friends, and caregivers walking beside them, and honor the lives of those we have lost.

Our pink ribbons are a symbol of love, remembrance, and solidarity. Through our trees and the community they bring together, we offer a place to reflect, honor someone you love, and find a little hope.

Whatever this journey looks like for you, there is room for you under our shade. 💗

Someday grief feels like an experience all alone and most days it is. Surrounded by 10 people or 100 , it’s just lonely.Today on my hike I was reminded about all those people who are alone in a crowd. Today I challenge you to ask someone how they are doing and listen to the answer and if you’re checking off a box don’t bother. It takes a lifetime to heal so ask someone how they’re doing today and be ready for the answer. Sometimes it’s not always about the answer it’s about the question so be a genuine listener. Thinking about so many people in pain and grieving today. A good friend once said to me “you got 8 minutes?” Sometimes 8 minutes is all it takes. And for me a nice long walk with a good playlist or lately a great hike helps brings the peace and some perspective. Seeing this green ribbon at the top of the Ute Rock reminded me. We are not alone🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳

HAPPY 250th BIRTHDAY AMERICA! This years celebration is special as we celebrate our 250 years of freedom and independence as the greatest country in the world. But in the midst of such greatness exists some real sadness, as this marks the 1 year anniversary of the Kerrville floods and the many other tragedies where precious lives were lost. Take time celebrate time but don’t forget to pause and remember the lives lost not only in Texas but across the US this past year. We must celebrate our freedom this year, IT’S BIG but we can never forget the cost in each and every life lost enjoying that very freedom. GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳

Every year since 2023 we give away trees to our fantastic community. Whether you are celebrating a milestone, a life , honoring or remembering someone or you just simply needingshade, we would love for you to have a Mitchell’s Shade tree.
