History won’t ask if we were right. It’ll ask if we were together.

That’s the line the Justice Revival was built on. Oakland showed us what happens when the church, the streets, and the neighborhoods stop fighting each other and start standing together — because division doesn’t care who’s right, it just makes us easy to break. We watched brothers and sisters remember they were brothers and sisters.

Speed was never the assignment. Direction was.

Send this to someone who’s been walking this road with you.

Our elders paid for this direction with their lives. Some didn’t survive it. The ones who did carried the scars of it forward anyway, still knowing exactly where they were walking, even when the road disappeared, even when it cost them everything. That knowing is the inheritance.

Right now the pressure is real. The emboldened hate, the daily threat to our people, our work. It would be easy to let the weight of every day’s headlines move us off our work. But headlines aren’t a compass. Our faith is. Our people are.

This work was never meant to be finished in our lifetime. It was built to outlast us, so the ones coming after can stand on what we laid down and keep walking. That’s not a race. That’s legacy.

Your direction is more important than your speed.

Stay oriented. Keep walking toward freedom.
