Kokomo, you showed up. 🙏🏾

The Sunday Dinner Series came to Indiana and what happened in that room reminded us why we do this work.

No grand stages. Just neighbors, faith leaders, and families sitting down together — eating, listening, and building something real.

This is what community looks like when it shows up for itself.

More cities. More tables. More truth.
Love requires action. 🖤

Up Next St. Louis and Indianapolis

Brooklyn, the table is set.

You know how we do — everybody eats, everybody talks, everybody’s family by the time the plates are cleared.

Elder Oresa L. Napper-Williams and Live Free are opening the doors at the Prince Joshua Avitto Community Center for a Sunday Dinner that feels like the block party your grandma used to throw — minus the folding chairs on the sidewalk.

Good food. Real talk. Elders and young people in the same room building something together. No pitch — just community the way BK has always known how to do it.
East New York, this one is for you. Pull up.

🍽️ Sunday Dinner — Brooklyn April 8, 2026 | 5–8 PM Prince Joshua Avitto Community Center 876 Schenck Ave
Hosted in partnership with Love Fellowship Tabernacle — The Kingdom Church, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Sr. Pastor

Some of us grew up like this. Family around the table. Elders dropping wisdom between bites. Real dialogue, no filter. For others, nobody ever made that space.
Sunday Dinner is the invitation either way.

We’re building something — gathering folks in churches, connecting congregations to the peacemakers and violence interruptors doing the work in our cities, and making sure the families we serve have a seat at the table.
This is where community norms get set. Where young people learn the power of breaking bread with their elders. Where neighbors meet the people next door for the first time.

Whether you’re coming back to something you know works or discovering it for the first time — pull up a chair.

Upcoming Sunday Dinners: Brooklyn, NY — April 8 Indianapolis — April 19 St. Louis — April 23 DMV (D.C.) — May 31 Oklahoma — June 21 Atlanta & California — Coming Soon

When and her team open the door, Detroit walks in and becomes family.

Sunday Dinner hit different in Detroit — good food, honest conversation, and the kind of connection that stays with you. 🖤

In a time when so much feels uncertain — our kids are feeling it too.

The fear isn’t abstract. It’s leaving class and not knowing what comes next. It’s carrying weight that was never supposed to be theirs.

Sunday Dinner is the room where we face that together. Real talk. Real people. Doing their little part.

Because little parts turn into big change. Pull up. 🍽️

The future is already here—and it looks like them.

From mobilizing the next generation, to leading with faith and service, to advocating for communities at every level—these women remind us that real change happens when people step fully into their power.

They are visionaries.
They are connectors.
They are the voices pushing us forward.

And this is only the beginning.

Detroit — we’re building something.

The Sunday Dinner Series isn’t just about gathering — it’s about locking in with each other in a time that’s trying to pull us apart.

This is how community gets stronger.
This is how we stay ready.
This is how we move together.

Pull up and be part of it.

McDonough, this one is about coming back to each other.

Not a panel.
Not a program.
Just a table.

A place to sit, eat, and be reminded what it feels like to be in community again.

The Sunday Dinner Series is about love you can actually feel — in the room, in the conversation, in the people around you.

HONOR HER OUT LOUD.

These are the women building what’s next.

From turning grief into purpose, to organizing communities and scaling movements, to creating spaces of care and possibility—this is what power looks like in action.

They are not just leading in this moment—
they are shaping the future for Black communities, for women, and for generations we may never meet.

Say their names. Learn their stories. Build with them.
