I saw this circulating awhile ago. It was posted by a kid I knew that was in the church youth group I volunteered to help in. It just saddens and angers me that a high school kid posts this, and grown adults STILL won't take notice! When are we going to DEMAND that bullies are held accountable for their behavior, and force them to CHANGE?!

Here you have it folks, the problem at a full view. A 9 year old kid wants to kill himself because nothing is ever done about his tormentors. And then you have this response to the story. "Bullying won't stop"?! WHY NOT?!?! Oh, that's right, BECAUSE NOONE WANTS TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!

If you get into a fight, bring drugs to school, or bring a weapon on campus, you face the consequences. If you bully someone, you get a SLAP ON THE WRIST!!!!!!!!!! Bullying CAN and WILL stop once we, as a society, are willing to HOLD BULLIES ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS AND DEMAND THEY CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ignorant comments like this

Hey everyone. I know it's been several months since I posted anything on this page. It was never my intent for this to become a dormant page, but life got crazy and here we are. I had a few job changes, moved in with some roomates, and never found a rythm to get back into posting regularly. My goal with this page is still the same: to make it one day be the page for the antil-bullying intervention non profit I wish to start. That whole process, though, is stalled until I can find at least two others that feel as passionate as I am about putting an end to bullying once and for all. At that point, I can start the process of filling the paper work, getting 501(c)(3) status, and start taking donations. Until then, I'll try to post more stories and statisics that support the narrative that this NEEDS to end! Until then, please be patient with me, it will be much appreciated. Thank you for taking to time to read this.

I've seen this meme circulating around Facebook for years. And I do agree that kids need to be thought to stand up for themselves, there are several things I don't like about this:

1. Bullying does NOT have to always be a thing if we are willing to do something about it! We need to put strict policies in place in schools to counteract bullying!

2. Bullies sometimes roll in packs and gang up on one victim. How is one person supposed to defend themselves if the whole pack decides to get physical?

3. Say there's only one bully, and the victim does knuckle up with the bully. Then, the victim gets suspended and gets a bad reputation at school amongst the administration for being a "problem child".

Teaching kids to defend themselves will only fix half the problem (as well as create new ones). We also must be ADAMANT in being so strict bullies, that they STOP BULLYING!!

The stat in the lower left saddens me. 1 in 4 teachers sees nothing wrong with bullying and will only intervene 4% of the time?! Congrats you're part of the problem! If you're not intervening to stop bullying, you're an enabler! When are adults going to get more involved in stopping this?!

These statistics are infuriating to me! 1 in 4 is bullied, and 1 in 5 admit to doing it!! We HAVE to do something about this!
