And a special s/o to Quik Print of OKC, Inc.for this gift box! They couldn't be more right: With every act of kindness, we create ripples we may never see in our community and beyond.

Together with our donors, we are investing $794,750 in three community-informed solutions that are helping our neighbors access housing, mental health care and other solutions that lead to lasting stability.

We are excited to partner with Key to Home OKC, The Homeless Alliance and Mental Health Association Oklahoma to lean in and help close the gap. Learn more at https://occf.org/794750-granted-to-support-housing-and-mental-health-programs/.

Civic leaders in Weatherford saw an opportunity to enhance the experience of those attending the Stafford Air & Space Museum through Shooting Star Park, a 7-acre, aerospace-themed experience. Development of this park began in 2022, with intentional inclusion of STEAM-based activities, community gathering places and a lookout tower for viewing the park in its entirety.

Just four years later, the park is officially open to the public! Members of OCCF's staff attended the grand opening, joining the public in celebrating this momentous occasion. If you get a chance, head to Weatherford to check out the museum and this community's newest attraction!

This generous funding will directly support the recruitment, training, and continued support of CASA volunteers, ensuring more children in foster care have a consistent, caring adult advocating for their best interests. This week, members of OCCF's staff attended the groundbreaking for the Clara Luper Civil Rights Center. This center will serve as a civil rights museum for Oklahoma City, named after our most famous civil rights leader. It will enhance the public's ability to learn about and understand Oklahoma City's role in the national Civil Rights Movement to end segregationist policies.

The Center will offer classrooms, galleries and event spaces, creating a thoughtfully designed community gathering place. Located in NE OKC, the center sits along Martin Luther King Avenue, adjacent to the Freedom Center, a longstanding hub for civil rights activities. Follow The Freedom Center of Oklahoma City to learn more about the project and OKC's history in the Civil Rights Movement!
