Next Stop: Tulsa, Oklahoma! The 2027 Mazuri AOA National Alpaca Show is hitting the road to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and we are bringing a little extra roadside charm along for the ride.

Located along one of America’s most famous historic highways, Tulsa sets the perfect stage for our 2027 theme: Route 66!

We are also proud to share that Tiskilwa Farms Alpacas,LLC will serve as the presenting sponsor of the 2027 Mazuri AOA National Alpaca Show. Their generous support helps bring this national event to life as we prepare to welcome exhibitors, alpacas, vendors, volunteers, and guests to Tulsa.

After shearing, fiber is sorted by quality into three categories:

🧣Fine fleece becomes sweaters and scarves.
🧦Medium grades are used for socks and outerwear.
🛋️Coarser fiber still has value and is used for rugs, felted products, and home goods, such as stuffing for pillows.

Using the full fleece helps reduce waste and supports a more sustainable textile system.

This is what the youth program of Alpacas of Oklahoma strives for! So very proud of Logan Youngblood. He is a very talented and responsible young man and will no doubt be a very successful alpaca breeder in the future!!! Thank you Red Granite Ranch for recognizing him!! Way to go Logan!!!
