The Oklahoma Junior Cattlemen's Association promotes the welfare of the cattle industry, furthers the education and cooperation of young people interested in cattle and aids in the attainment of mutual goals set by OJCA members interested in all phases of the business and all possible career and leadership goals set by OJCA members interested in all phases of the business and all possible career a
nd leadership goals. Also realizing the importance of the cattle industry both to the Oklahoma economy and to Oklahoma citizens, and recognizing that there are vast numbers of youth in Oklahoma who are interested in and/or involved in cattle production, care, breeding and feeding, and further recognizing the importance of cooperation and harmony and among the various segments of livestock chain from producer to consumer. The OJCA Hosts many events and contest throughout the year. Our two largest events are the Summer Preview Show and our Annual Summer Leadership Conference. During both of these events the OJCA puts on many contests to get members involve in association activities. These contests and activities including a Speech contest, Salesmanship contest, Barnyard Olympics, Team fitting contest, Showmanship, Scavenger Hunt and many more.
