PCO Boys Baseball - Dolese Youth Park

The first of 3 Dick's Shop Events is this weekend. The remaining two will be the weekend of 7/24 - 7/27 and Tax Free Weekend. This first weekend is scheduled to coincide with the beginning of Football Practice/Season, the second weekend is scheduled to coincide with the beginning of Fall Baseball/Softball Practice/Season, and the last is scheduled to coincide with Tax Free Weekend. The (3) Shop Events are for all sports to use.

Tonight, Thur, 4/23, and/or Fri, 4/24, there could be traffic issues getting into Dolese Park. The intersection of 50th and Meridian is undergoing some construction. The East and West lanes on 50th St are reduced to one lane each way. This could cause traffic back up on 50th during rush hour. Also, OG&E maybe replacing power poles along 50th in front of Dolese Park. The East bound lane on 50th in front of Dolese Park could be reduced to one lane. This too could cause traffic backups in the East bound lane on 50th during rush hour. It might be wise to use Meridian to get to 50th and use the West bound lane on 50th to get to the entrance into Dolese Park.

It's with a heavy heart that I am letting you know that PCO has lost another “Friend of Youth”. Dave Dennis, more commonly known at the T-BALL Ump on Field 2, passed away last week. His funeral is scheduled for this coming Saturday, 2/14, at 11:00 AM at the NW Church of Christ, 4301 N W 23rd St, OKC, corner of NW 23rd & Geraldine. Dave was a true and maybe the biggest PCO “Friend of Youth “. As a father, grandpa, teacher, coach, T-Ball Ump, PCO Member and Commissioner of T-Ball, he lived almost every day being involved directly or indirectly with kids. His jokes, stories, that big smile and his carefree attitude made him a pleasure to be around. Keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
