A huge thanks to our elected officials for their presence and for listening to our concerns!

Do I wish I’d gotten a photo of all of us (from left: Sen. Regina Goodwin, Cyndi Munson, Rep. Michelle McCane, me 👋, Rep. Melissa Provenzano, Sen. JoAnna Dossett, Rep. Suzanne Schrieber, Sen. Avery Frix, Sen. Dave Rader, and Dr. Robert Franklin) at the OREA - Oklahoma Retired Educators Association Convention? Yes. But can my Rad Photoshop Skillz ™ make up for it? Idk. Lol.

In all seriousness, I was heartened to see this bipartisan crew of electeds and candidates (from both sides of the aisle…and check out Cyndi…she shows up!) in attendance to listen to retired teachers from across the state. Their main issues were COLA (Cost of Living Adjustment) chaos, the insane increase in insurance premiums, & protecting TRS and pensions. My advice to these great retired educators is that where there’s a will, there’s a way…and they need to reach out to their state reps and senators to ensure that the will to fight for our retired educators appears & stays permanently at the Cap!

Retirees and annuitants, save these upcoming direct deposit dates! As we head into the final months of 2026, here’s when you can expect your monthly TRS benefit payments.

Need to change your bank account? Log into MyTRS and request the Authorization for Direct Deposit form through the secure messaging feature! If TRS receives your form and required bank documents on or before the 15th of the month, the change will apply to the following month's payment. MyTRS: https://mytrs.trs.ok.gov/
