The Urban Mission is thrilled to announce our friend Margaret Noble (from Westminster Presbyterian Church!) is our Volunteer of the Year! Miss Margaret is such an incredible and invaluable member of our SPARK volunteer team. She has been instrumental in increasing reading skills for our students and instilling in them a love of reading. Over the past year, we have seen our kiddos' reading comprehension grow and their confidence skyrocket due to the thoughtful, intentional, and constant time Miss Margaret has spent with them after school. We could not be happier to award this honor to her. If you'd like to come celebrate Miss Margaret (and have a good time!), please join us for our annual fundraiser, Help for Hope! We'll have a terrific evening enjoying good food, good music, and good company, all for a good cause, and we'll be presenting this award to Miss Margaret that evening. You can get tickets through our website today!

Oklahoma is one of the hungriest states in the US. You can change that. The Urban Mission is working towards an Oklahoma where no one is hungry, but we can't do it without your help! If you'd like to help feed your neighbors, you can sign up to be a volunteer through our website. We need all hands on deck if we're going to make a change!

If you're looking for a new place to volunteer and you're good with kids, SPARK is the program for you! Our kiddos join us Monday through Thursday after school for a safe place to continue learning, growing, and playing. Regular volunteers like Ms. Margaret are indispensable when it comes to helping our students improve their reading skills, and the progress they make each week with her influences their language skills and their confidence. If you'd like to help shape little lives, sign up to volunteer today!
