Access to treatment is moving in the wrong direction.

In Oklahoma, access to state provided mental health services among individuals not in the labor force has declined sharply.

That trend matters, especially for people returning from incarceration who often rely on these services during reentry.

Without consistent access to mental health treatment, the path to stability becomes more difficult. Barriers to care can impact employment, housing, and long term outcomes.

If we want successful reentry and stronger public safety, access to treatment has to be part of the solution.

Expanding availability and continuity of care helps individuals rebuild and reduces the likelihood of returning to the system.
