Today we had the honor of announcing the 2026 recipients of the Tristen Ballinger KCRO Foundation Scholarship!

Each year, students in the Automotive Program at Moore Norman Technology Center submit an essay and resume as part of their application. From there, 10 students are selected for in-person interviews that we host, and two are chosen to receive our scholarships in the amount of $500 each.

MNTC has such a large meaningful impact on Tristen’s life and being able to give back to those students from the same community that meant so much to him is so special to our family.

These scholarships would not be possible without the generosity of those who donate! We are so grateful for your ongoing support❤️

Congratulations on the 2026 recipients!! We can’t wait to see where the automotive industry takes you🤩💫

Every year in March, we get to do something truly special—interview and award scholarships to students at Moore Norman Technology Center Automotive Program in honor of Tristen Ballinger. What started as a way to keep his memory alive has grown into something bigger: a chance to help young people chase their dreams with cars, just like he would have done!

Education changes lives, but for many students, financial barriers stand in the way. That’s where this scholarship steps in. Every dollar raised goes directly toward giving a student the opportunity to pursue their future with less worry and more hope.

If you feel moved to give, know that your support isn’t just a donation—it’s a ripple effect of opportunity, change, and remembrance. Thank you for being part of this mission. 💚

Introducing the KCRO Foundation

In loving memory of our beloved son and brother, Tristen, who bravely battled adrenoleukodystrophy until 2018, we are thrilled to announce the official establishment of the KCRO Foundation as of 2022.

Tristen's passion and his deep love for the automotive program at Moore Norman Technology Center ignited a flame within him that inspired everyone around him. It was within those halls that he found his calling and thrived, leaving a mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

In his honor, the KCRO Foundation is dedicated to giving back to the students at Moore Norman Technology Center, particularly those in the automotive program, where Tristen's passion blossomed. Through scholarships, mentorship programs, and educational initiatives, we aim to empower and support students as they pursue their dreams, just as Tristen did.

Join us in celebrating Tristen's life and legacy by supporting the KCRO Foundation. Together, we can continue his spirit of generosity and love for learning, ensuring that his impact will be felt for generations to come.
