POWERING POTENTIAL: CLASS OF 2026 🎓

As the school year comes to a close and we transition into summer, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate our three 2026 graduates: Honesty Coleman, Evona Collins, and Teshawn Searcy.

Each journey looked different, but all three reached this milestone through hard work, perseverance, and determination. To honor their accomplishment, each graduate received an Urban Bridge "GRADUATE" t-shirt and gift card as a small token of our pride and appreciation.

Their success is a reminder that potential grows when opportunity meets support. Congratulations, graduates—we’re proud of you and excited for what’s ahead.

STUDENT HIGHLIGHT: TESHAWN SEARCY

Some stories remind us why this work matters.

Teshawn’s journey has been marked by resilience, growth, and purpose — from earning All-City honors as 1st Chair Tuba, to pursuing broadcast journalism, launching his own podcast, becoming a first-generation graduate, and now attending UAPB on a full scholarship.

None of this happened overnight. It came through hard work, belief, and the willingness to keep showing up for his future.
We’re grateful that The Bridge Impact Center got to be a small part of his story and witness the young man he’s becoming. The future is bright, and this is only the beginning.

Keep going, Teshawn. We’re proud of you. 💙🧡

BRIDGE IMPACT CENTER FEATURED IN THE OKLAHOMAN 📰

What started as a burden to help young people in northeast Oklahoma City has grown into a safe place where students can learn, create, be supported, and thrive.

The Oklahoman recently highlighted the work happening at Bridge Impact Center — from after-school programming and mentorship to creative outlets and mental health support.

As Marcus Jackson shared in the article:
“We just want to fill the gap… That’s why we call it the bridge.”

We’re grateful for the recognition, but even more grateful for the students, families, volunteers, partners, and supporters who make this work possible.

The story is bigger than a headline. It’s hope in action.

FILM CLUB: BIG REVEALS 🎬👀

Some moments hit harder when the audience doesn’t see them coming.

This week, students learned how directors use “Big Reveals” to build tension, surprise, and payoff — then created their own microshort around one unexpected reveal.

Because creativity is already here. Opportunity just helps bring it to life.

FILM CLUB: SLOW MOTION 🐌🎬

Slow motion makes everything feel bigger.

This week, Film Club learned how filmmakers use slow motion to build drama — then students put their own spin on it.

The result: Overly Dramatic

A microshort created by students given the space, tools, and guidance to turn creativity into something you can feel.

Potential is already here.
Opportunity helps it come alive.
