The Oklahoma State Department of Health is now accepting applications for the Certified Healthy Oklahoma program, recognizing businesses, schools and communities that are taking steps to create healthier places to live, work and thrive.

Applications are due Nov. 1, 2026.

The Sylas Murphy Memorial Wall honors moms who have experienced infant loss and generously donated milk in their babies’ memory.

Adriana, Madilyn, and Janitza, UCO nursing students, had the opportunity to visit the wall and learn more about the stories and meaning behind these incredible donations.

Letting love live on. 🤍

We are honored to share Adeline’s story, in her mom’s own words:

“After losing Adeline, I knew I wanted to donate the breast milk my body had created for her. Although she wasn’t here to use it, I didn’t want it to go to waste when I knew another baby, or even multiple babies, could benefit from it.

Although my pumping journey wasn’t long-lived, I find comfort in knowing that what my body was able to produce for my baby is going to help nourish and grow other little ones. Knowing that something I made for Adeline can now help care for another baby means so much to me.

For me, donating my milk is just another way to let the love I have for my daughter continue on.”

We are so grateful for her incredible gift and the lasting legacy of love behind it.
