Step into a vivid soundscape where nature, tradition, and imagination come to life. The Four Seasons reimagines Vivaldi’s iconic cycle as something immediate and alive—full of birdsong, storms, heat, and frost—while surrounding it with music by Corelli, Muffat, Handel, and Geminiani that expands the idea of seasonal change into a broader Baroque landscape.
From the brightness of spring and the rustic warmth of autumn to the intensity of summer and the stillness of winter, these works trace a rich emotional arc, blending elegance, drama, and virtuosity. Together, they reveal the Baroque orchestra as a living, breathing ensemble—constantly shifting, responding, and renewing itself with each turn of the season.

Students are admitted free of charge with student ID.

Musical Jokes reveals the playful side of the Classical masters. Featuring Haydn’s famously mischievous “Joke” Quartet and Mozart’s delightfully subversive A Musical Joke, this program shows how wit, surprise, and laughter were built into the very fabric of Classical form—music that knows the rules perfectly and breaks them with a smile. Featuring the HIP Quartet.

Edwards, baroque piccolo; and Carey Morrow, lute—the program reveals how Vivaldi transformed the concerto into a space for character, gesture, and expressive brilliance that still speaks directly to modern audiences.

The Oklahoma Baroque Orchestra, founded in 2022, has rapidly blossomed under artistic director Dylan Madoux. His goal is to create a self-sustaining early-music community for Oklahoma City and the region. People around the country are starting to take notice.
