We are joined by Dr. Julia Montag to hear the lastest from OCU and Dr. Rob Glaubtiz shares what is happening at UCOand Julia on for their weekly spots with UCO and OCU. Rob also discusses Painted Sky Opera's A Decade of Divas and the Sunset Soirée. Dylan Madoux with the Oklahoma Baroque Orchestra joins us to discuss their Salon Series Concert titled Converzationi taking place Saturday. Then, Dr. Julie Yu with Canterbury Voices sits down with Paul to discuss both their concert on Friday, featuring Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms, and The Big Sing on Saturday.

The current pulls you forward before you even realize you're moving.

Water inspired some of the most vivid music of the Baroque era—rushing, cascading, alive. On September 5, OBO opens its new season with Lakes, Rivers, Waterways: Lalande's courtly grandeur, Handel's Water Music, and Telemann's Alster Echo, all performed on the instruments that first gave this music its voice.

Step into a vivid soundscape where nature, tradition, and imagination come to life. The Four Seasons reimagines Vivaldi’s iconic cycle as something immediate and alive—full of birdsong, storms, heat, and frost—while surrounding it with music by Corelli, Muffat, Handel, and Geminiani that expands the idea of seasonal change into a broader Baroque landscape.
From the brightness of spring and the rustic warmth of autumn to the intensity of summer and the stillness of winter, these works trace a rich emotional arc, blending elegance, drama, and virtuosity. Together, they reveal the Baroque orchestra as a living, breathing ensemble—constantly shifting, responding, and renewing itself with each turn of the season.
