The Tree Bank Foundation

After 30 years of service to Oklahoma communities, The Tree Bank Foundation will be consolidating its programming within OKC Beautiful, an environmental education and beautification nonprofit serving the Oklahoma City metro area.

The Tree Bank Foundation was founded in 1987 as a program to plant trees in Oklahoma City. It expanded to include the entire state in 1992. Since that time, the Tree Bank has planted more than 224,000 trees, and programs included Disaster Re-Leaf and Oklahoma Orchards.

As my tenure at the Tree Bank comes to an end I find myself grateful for all of the friends I have met in the past ten years. There are so many wonderful supporters of the Tree Bank! I am wishing all of you well.

My helpers and I are doing scratch tests on trees at a planting project. We scratch just a little bit of bark off a couple places on the tree. Green and moist means it's alive, white and dry means it unfortunately didn't make it.
