Oklahoma Sooner City Alumnae Chapter was chartered on May 4, 1991 in Metropolitan Oklahoma City. Fowler, assisted by State Coordinator Minerva Sloss, conducted the chartering ceremony. The chapter works actively to reclaim Deltas, maintain the goals of the original twenty-four and to continue developing programs to enhance the community.

Join us June 9 for a Community Listening Forum with Candidates Campaigning for HD99 and a Discussion about SQ 832 that will appear on the June 16th Primary Ballot.

Hear from candidates, share your concerns, and engage in meaningful conversation about the future of our community. This event centers the voices of residents and creates space for accountability, dialogue, and civic engagement. We will also hear from the Legislative Director from OKPolicy Institute regarding both sides of State Question 832 - $15 Minimum Wage Initiative.

The Oklahoma Sooner City Alumnae Chapter contacted Mr. Davis on April 23, 2026, via Facebook Messenger regarding participation in the House District 99 Listening Session scheduled for June 9, 2026. Following communication received from Mr. Davis on May 24, 2026, his picture is being removed from the promotional flyer per his request.

The invitation to participate in the Listening Session remains open should Mr. Davis choose to attend.

Thirty-five years ago today, 24 women gathered at the Lincoln Plaza Hotel in Oklahoma City and planted a seed that would grow into something extraordinary.

On May 4, 1991, the Oklahoma Sooner City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was chartered.

To our trailblazing charter members, from every Soror who has carried this chapter forward and every woman who will one day wear these colors and do this work alongside us, we honor you.
