One step towards getting a clear picture of who you are is to look at your values. Values are your guiding lights, the ideas that matter most to you and help you decide how to act. Honesty, compassion, determination, courage, and creativity are examples.
When your actions line up with your values, it can feel like pride — like when you value courage and you speak up for a friend getting picked on. When they don't line up, it feels like guilt — like laughing along with a mean joke when you value kindness.
Understanding your values can help you discover the core of who you are and help you be your realest self. So, go ahead! What are three values that you identify with the most?

🌟 Leadership Update! 🌟

We’re excited to share that Oklahoma County 4-H members Dani McTague and Peyton Ramsey are running for executive positions on State 4‑H Council!

Dani McTague, candidate for Vice President, is leading with heart, service, and creativity. Her campaign highlights more than 1.7 million people reached and 8,255 hours served. Dani’s leadership experiences as a State Ambassador, SED Representative, and Oklahoma County 4‑H President reflect her commitment to empowering every member and strengthening Oklahoma 4‑H.

Peyton Ramsey, candidate for Recreation Leader, is inviting members to “Take the Wild Route and vote Peyton without a doubt!” Her platform focuses on building fun, inclusive, high‑energy experiences across the state. Her previous experiences as a SED Officer, newly selected State Ambassador, and a current County President are evidence of her passion for bringing enthusiasm and a strong commitment to her teams.

See both Dani and Peyton at State 4‑H Roundup next week as they share their vision for leadership, service, and fun across Oklahoma 4‑H. 👏🍀

Confidence isn't just a feeling — it's what pushes you to do things that feel hard, scary, or even impossible. Think of it like a tiny coach living in your head, cheering you on.

The secret to building it? Smart risks. Not peer pressure, not anything that feels wrong. They are things you'd normally shy away from — but that your gut tells you could make your life more fun, adventurous, or accomplished. Things like:

 Joining a new club
 Speaking up about something you care about
 Trying a new move, even if you fail
 Telling a friend, they hurt your feelings

The best part is every time you take a smart risk, you don't just use confidence — you create more of it! What smart risk can you take to build your confidence?
