Two years ago today I created a blog having no idea it would turn into what it is today. When I was younger I had an aspiration to make a positive impact on my community. In elementary school, I remember sending countless emails and making calls to local organizations about volunteering but being restrained by an age requirement. Although that requirement is now understandable, at the time it was degrading. I thought of myself as “too young to make a difference”. Over the years I discovered smaller things I could do for my community. I later learned that I am not the only one who felt restricted by age. In fact, many people feel restricted when it comes to the ability to volunteer. Whether it be due to a lack of time or maybe even one’s financial situation. I discovered that contributing to the betterment of your community doesn’t have to come from a large monetary donation or spending hours volunteering with an organization. The littlest things have to power to make the biggest impact. I wanted to share this message as well as create opportunities for everybody who may have previously felt restricted.
So I made a website. A month later I took a leap and started our first official project and since then, Project Kindness has turned into a community of people (even beyond Oklahoma) who want to make a difference, and frankly, we have! Over the past two years, we have donated over 4.5k items to local organizations! From school supplies to stuffed animals and toys! On top of that, with Mission , we were able to get kind message sticky notes places in 17 different states. This is all thanks to you guys! Thank you for donating! Thank you for participating! Thank you for supporting these projects! None of this would be possible without YOU! While an idea can go a long way, when we come together it is amazing how we can change the world around us!

After an unexpected delay we were finally able to donate nearly 150 children’s books to Reading Partners Tulsa today! This is all thanks to our wonderful drop-off locations and everybody who donated! THANK YOU! 🥳♥️ @ Reading Partners Tulsa
