We primarily focus on animals with major medical illnesses, injuries, or advanced age that are often overlooked. 💔 Abby deserves better than euthanasia 💔

This sweet 12-year-old girl was brought to our local vet clinic with a request to euthanize her.

The reason? Her family is moving.

For 12 years, Abby has known one home, one family, one life. Now, instead of spending her golden years surrounded by the people she loves, she is starting over.

But Abby's story gets even more heartbreaking.

When we brought her into rescue, we wanted to get her caught up on routine care and make sure she was healthy. That's when we learned Abby is heartworm positive—a serious and potentially deadly disease that is entirely preventable with routine heartworm prevention.

Heartworm treatment is expensive, often costing up to $1,000, but Abby deserves the chance to be healthy. She deserves to know what it feels like to be cherished, cared for, and safe.

Despite everything, Abby remains a sweet, gentle girl. She may be a little hard of hearing, but she still has so much love left to give. We refuse to let her final chapter be defined by being discarded.

Here's Surcie! Gentle Purrs & Tuxedo Charm 🖤🤍🐾

Surcie is a handsome medium haired tuxedo kitten with a soft coat and an even softer personality. Born around the beginning of April, this sweet boy has a calm, gentle nature that makes him impossible not to fall in love with.

Surcie is happiest when he's close to his people. He loves climbing into your lap, settling in for a cuddle session, and purring contentedly while soaking up all the affection you're willing to give. While he certainly has a playful side, he's more of a laid back gentleman than a wild child.

His favorite toys include feather teasers, pieces of twine, and ribbon wands that let him show off his playful spirit. He also enjoys the company of other cats and loves spending time playing and snuggling with his feline friends.

Because of his easygoing personality, Surcie would do best in a calmer home environment with older children who understand how to respectfully interact with pets. He would also be a wonderful companion for a household with other gentle cats or small pets.

🐱💕 Kitten season is here, and we need your help! 💕🐱

These adorable four 12-week-old kittens (two boys and two girls) are just a few of the many babies currently in our rescue program. While they're busy playing, growing, and being irresistibly cute, they still need important veterinary care before they can find their forever homes.

Vaccines, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter surgeries all add up quickly, but they are essential to helping these kittens grow into healthy adult cats. Spay and neuter surgeries are especially important. One unaltered cat can lead to dozens more kittens in a very short time, contributing to the overpopulation crisis that shelters and rescues face every day.

By helping these kittens get the care they need now, you're not only helping them—you’re helping reduce the number of homeless cats and kittens in our community in the future.

A huge thank you to Anthem Brewing for inviting us to be part of their 14th Anniversary Celebration yesterday!

We had such a great time meeting so many wonderful people, connecting with amazing local vendors, and sharing our rescue mission with the community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, said hello, learned about our rescue, and gave some love to our adoptable dogs. They soaked up every bit of the attention!

We'd also like to congratulate the winner of our raffle basket! 🎉

Community support is what makes our rescue work possible, and we're so grateful for opportunities like this to meet fellow animal lovers and spread the word about rescue. Thank you again to Anthem Brewing for hosting such a fun event and to everyone who came out to celebrate! ❤️🐶

Lil' Sly is ready to steal your heart!

This 8 month old Great Pyrenees mix is an all white bundle of sweetness with the softest soul. He's still very much a puppy, but already showing what an incredible companion he's going to be.

Sly is wonderful with other dogs both big and small and truly enjoys having furry friends around. He's still a little unsure about new and unusual animals (a certain pot bellied pig has him very curious), but his reactions are more playful and inquisitive than anything. He hasn't lived with cats but may do well with cats that are accustomed to dogs and know how to assert their boundaries.

Sly is crate trained and doing great with house training. He has those classic puppy bursts of energy, but they don't last long. He enjoys being outside and playing fetch! After a little playtime, Lil' Sly is happiest stretched out on the floor next to his people, chewing on a toy and soaking up the love. He's the kind of dog who just wants to be near you.

Like many young pups, Sly can get excited and may jump up to say hello, so he'll need a family committed to continuing his training and helping him grow into a well mannered gentleman. He hasn't lived with children but would likely do great with kids that know how to respect their dog friends.

Given his breed mix, Sly will likely grow into a large dog, probably in the 80 to 100 pound range once fully grown. Hell be a big, fluffy, loyal companion with a heart just as big as his paws.

He really is the sweetest baby boy and is going to make someone an incredibly devoted best friend.

Meet Pippin! This sweet guy is a 7 month old Black Mouth Cur mix ready to find his forever family! Pippin is a lanky pup but may grow to be 50-60 lbs.

Rescued from a busy street after being hit by a car, Pippin is fully recovered from hip surgery and is ready to find his forever home. Although he may carry his John Wayne swagger into adulthood, his injured leg no longer slows him down at all!

Pippin is house and kennel trained. He willingly obeys his "kennel up" command even after several weeks of post- surgical "crate arrest" while his leg healed. He already knows "sit" and would happily learn more tricks for you! He is very gfood motivated and takes treats very gently. Pippin also eats and sleeps in his crate all night.

Pippin is a sweet boy and has a smile for everyone he meets! He hasn't lived with children but would likely do well in a home with children old enough to know how to respect their dog friends and who may not easily knocked over. He also enjoys snuggling with his people. He loves car rides and does great in the car!

He had done well with other dogs and would do great in a home with another dog who enjoys playing.

Pippin is looking for a home that will appreciate his youthful exuberance and have the know-how and patience to train him to be the wonderful companion he was born to be. He is a smart boy and quick learner. If you are looking for a playful, cuddly friend Pippin may be just the doggo for you!
