A timely reminder from our friends at OK Rural Schools:
🚨 CRITICAL ACTION ALERT 🚨 7 out of 10 Oklahoma elections are decided in the June primaries and most of those primaries are Republican. Many crucial elections influencing public ed will be held on June 16th.

Also, if you are a registered Independent, you can NOT vote in this years' June 16th primary election, missing out on 70% of the chances to vote!

GOOD NEWS! You still have time to change your party affiliation to be able to vote on what is arguably the MOST important election date in our state.

Click the link below and sign in to change your party registration online - it literally takes 1 minute of your time!

Races will be won on June 16th. Don't miss out.

👏🏽👏🏽 Mr. Calvin!

His students call him "Mister Showman," and his gift is teaching.

William Calvin has been teaching for over 4 decades. He's even tried to retire twice, but always finds his way back to the classroom.

Hear why he loves teaching choir. 🔽

💐 Today, we open Women’s History Month by honoring the power, resilience, and brilliance of women, past, present, and future.

This month-long observance originated in grassroots advocacy and became a national designation in 1987, created to uplift women whose contributions have too often gone unseen. It is both a celebration and a call to continue the work toward equity, dignity, and justice.

We begin with “Phenomenal Woman," Dr. Maya Angelou’s timeless declaration of self-worth, confidence, and unapologetic womanhood. The poem reminds us that society’s narrow standards do not define power, but by the quiet strength, grace, and knowing we carry within ourselves.

As Dr. Angelou wrote,
“I’m a woman / Phenomenally. / Phenomenal woman, / That’s me.”

This Women’s History Month, we celebrate women who lead boldly, love fiercely, and stand firmly in who they are—phenomenal, just as they are.

✨ Happy Women’s History Month ✨

❤️ Public Schools Week: Thursday Action 💙

Today’s theme: Students at the Center

Quote your kid. Ask your student their favorite thing about school and share it on social media. Post their answer, a photo, or a quick video and let their voice lead the story.

When we center around students, we remember why public schools matter.

❤️ Public Schools Week: Wednesday Action 💙

Today’s theme: Student Opportunity

Using social media, share one opportunity your public school provides that makes a difference in your student’s life. It might be fine arts, athletics, career tech, advanced coursework, clubs, or the support of a caring educator.

Post a photo, a short video, or a quick story that shows how public schools create real opportunity for students every day.

Let’s celebrate the programs that help our students grow and thrive.
