CHILD Champions youth development and mentor program C.H.I.L.D. CHAMPIONS INC. is a nonprofit youth mentoring program that exists solely to see every C.H.I.L.D. succeed, according to the Word of God!

Champions is a non-profit, faith-based youth development and mentor program. Our goal is to keep kids off the streets and in school. We make a difference in the lives of young people who are often labeled as statistics. These are the kids that are at risk of ending up incarcerated, homeless, on drugs, or even dealing with teenage parenthood. These kids are often in low-income families and underser

ved neighborhoods, in homeless shelters, or possibly already in the judicial system. These are the kids that our hearts are burdened for! And these are the kids that we run after. Our mentors take these amazing individuals and teach them to break free from the challenges holding them back and step into a brighter, more successful future. We do this in our after-school program by taking the foundation of biblical principles that fosters resilience, courage, integrity, humility, and love and we couple that with the #1 top rated evidence-based life skills curriculum to promote mental, social, and physical stability. We teach them life skills, show them how to cope with stress and anxiety, and we educate them on substance abuse and its effect on the quality of life, as well as expose them to promising opportunities for their future selves. And as if that’s not enough, we sprinkle in the respect and love of neighbors and community by getting out, building relationships, and serving in the communities. C.H.I.L.D. CHAMPIONS INC. Youth Mentoring Program is a Bible-based "non profit" organization, whose main goal is to change your CHILD into a CHAMPION, by instilling in them, life principles according to the word of God, in an fun, exciting and exploratory fashion! Our team consists of experienced, innovative, God fearing leaders who has a passion to love and to teach kids in the way that they should go (Proverbs 22:6) and we are excited to walk with you and your child through this journey of life. It Still Takes A Village To Raise A Child!

Again, this is a nonprofit organization and the work that we do is strictly out of passion and a mandated ministry, so donations of all kinds are needed and welcome. Whether it's monetary, supplies, or volunteering (all of God's gifts, skills & talents) are welcome. ​Your donations will help fund the program so that we can continue to dedicate time & curriculum as well as provide food, clothes, life lessons, community resources and other necessities for our youth, their families and communities. ". ​ Thanks and God Bless, Latasha Shavers The vision of C.H.I.L.D. Organization is based on the acronym of the word “CHILD”. The vision acronym means Choosing to Help Individual Lives Develop. C (Choosing) ~ We choose to answer the mandate given to us by God to assist in the development of underprivileged & disenfranchised youth. H (Help) ~ We will help those who we come into contact with not by giving handouts, but by giving a hand up by empowering them to value life & to reach others with a hand up. Each one help one. I (Individual) ~ We believe that each child is a unique creature created in God’s image, therefore we will reach out to & meet the needs of each child based on their individuality. This is why we chose the word “C.H.I.L.D” instead of children. We cannot meet the needs of the community without first meeting the needs of the individual. L (Lives) ~ We want to resurrect the passion, love & faith back into the hearts of our children so they can appreciate the precious lives that they have been given as well as the value of the lives of others. D (Develop) ~ We want to re-develop the character, integrity & self-respect that has been lost through the desensitization of television, radio & social media.
