September is Su***de Awareness Month: Together, We Stand Strong.

As firefighters, we’re trained to face danger head-on, but sometimes the biggest battles happen inside our own minds. Mental health challenges can affect anyone, and it’s okay to not be okay. This month, we stand united in raising awareness about su***de prevention and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health struggles.

If you or someone you know is struggling, know that you’re not alone. Reach out. There is help, there is hope, and there is a community ready to support you.

This weekend, the OKC Firefighters Foundation was selected by David Stanley Chevrolet to be their pick at the game honoring first responders. Foundation President Cameron Weems threw out the first pitch while COO Mikala Lane & Board Member Meredith Herman accepted the $5,000 donation. Thank you for believing in what we are doing and supporting your OKC firefighters!🚒❤️‍🔥🥎

🚒❤️ OKC FIREFIGHTERS:

We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming event, “Code 3: Answering Life’s Alarms,” happening next Monday and Tuesday, July 1st and 2nd. Both days are mirrored to allow everyone the opportunity to attend the conference. This is an incredible opportunity for all of us to come together, learn, and discuss important topics that impact the profession and community. There will be speakers teaching relevant information from 8am until 5pm both days. IT IS FREE TO ATTEND.

Dates: Monday, July 1st & Tuesday, July 2nd
Times: 7:30 AM- 5:00 PM
Location: OKC Convention Center
Attendees: All retired and active OKC Firefighters, and available spouses.
Tickets: We have printed physical tickets for the event. These are available at the Union Hall and Admin through the next week. We recommend seeing how many tickets your station/shift may need and grabbing them at once, or requesting them all from 157 on Monday.
