The Collaborating Foundations of the Dr. Ruth Joyce Colbert Barnes and the Oklahoma Sovereign Arts Foundation have very similar Visions and Missions which have a central focus in the following areas; Scholastic achievement, post and secondary scholarships, arts education that include visual, performing and literary, civic and social awareness welfare, community revitalization and healthcare lifest

yle well being. We aim to change the fabric of our community with Four key initiatives; Revitalizing neighborhoods, Rebuilding communities, Re- establishing healthy lifestyles and Re-enforcing educational values.

• Revitalizing neighborhoods –Develop and build affordable housing, and promote employment and economic growth.

• Rebuilding communities -Sponsor art based events, film festivals, exhibitions, retrospectives, literary, theater and dance workshops. Supporting both local artistic talents to advance cultural, social and economic value to our community.

• Re-establishing healthy lifestyles-Provide preventative healthcare services that will assist in long-term positive lifestyle changes.

• Re- enforcing educational values-Construct a creative space that will intertwine students expressive needs and promote core- base curriculum.
