Oklahoma Bar Foundation

Oklahoma Bar Foundation Our vision is to enrich lives, eliminate obstacles & ensure justice. The Oklahoma Bar Foundation believes justice should be possible for all.

Every day we empower non-profits supporting Oklahoma’s most legally vulnerable citizens, because our communities are stronger when everyone has fair and equal access to the justice system. The OBF also funds court improvements to aid in the administration of justice and provides law school scholarships at all 3 Oklahoma law schools.

When a child is in crisis, the response depends on everyone in the room being prepared. Law enforcement, fire departments, health professionals, and community partners all play a role.

OBF grantee The Parent Child Center of Tulsa, through their Safe Babies program, recently brought together this diverse group for a Safe Kids Coalition training focused on infant and early childhood mental health and trauma-informed prevention strategies. The goal is to improve communication, provide earlier intervention, and strengthen coordinated responses for children and families.

When the people closest to families in crisis share a common framework, children are safer and outcomes improve.

We are incredibly grateful to Whitten Burrage for their generous support of the Rubies & Rivieras Gala this September.

As our exclusive Riviera partner, they are helping to make it possible for Oklahoma families facing eviction, domestic violence, custody battles, and elder law challenges to access the legal help they need most. That is the kind of commitment to justice that goes far beyond the event itself.

We are honored to have them in our corner. Thank you, Whitten Burrage.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the Rubies & Rivieras Gala. Send us a DM to learn more.

Art for advocacy. Guardian ad Litem volunteers getting creative to raise funds for child advocacy, one brushstroke at a time.

We love seeing our grantees show up for the mission in unexpected ways. Keep up the great work!

When Okmulgee County Courthouse was built in 1917, it was stunning. Italian marble columns, beautiful benches, and a sense of history in every corner. But one courtroom had not been updated since the 1970s. It had a single microphone, speaker, and videos were projected onto a concrete wall.

An OBF court grant changed that. Judge Deborah Reheard said it best, "Our courtroom now functions as it should, and our cases can proceed as they should."

This is what access to justice looks like in action.

Candice Pace, OBF's Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships, keeps a lot of plates spinning.

On any given day she is leading development committee meetings, crafting the annual report, speaking at events, and building the relationships that keep our Community Partner Program growing. The work of connecting people to this mission does not happen on its own, and Candice is at the center of making sure it does.

We are grateful to have her in our corner.

Meet Elijah Johnson, Staff Attorney at El Centro: New Sanctuary Empowerment Center in Tulsa.

OBF is proud to fund El Centro's Free Legal Consultations Program, which provides immigration-focused legal help to non-US citizens and their families who face financial, language, and cultural barriers to accessing legal services.

This year, El Centro is focused on expanding their referral system so that more people who need an attorney can actually find one they can trust and afford.
