OKC Midtown Rotary Club

OKC Midtown Rotary Club Oklahoma City Midtown Rotary loves the arts. Big time. As such, we have taken a particular interest in serving the arts community in the Oklahoma City area.

Because we are a group comprised of modern professionals, we try to keep our hands-on service opportunities fun and focused on events that have helped to energize Oklahoma City’s community. Additionally, we actively seek service projects that allow us to promote arts education in Oklahoma City. If that’s not enough for you, we volunteer at least once a month as a club. Organizations and events we

support and have volunteered for are deadCENTER Film Festival, Festival of the Arts, OVAC, and Homeless Alliance to name just a few. Midtown Rotary is dedicated to making a positive change in our community one step at a time. This isn’t your grandparent’s Rotary so we encourage anyone interested in creating change to visit our club. You can find us every Tuesday evening, 6 – 7 p.m. at James E. McNellie’s Public House in Midtown. Please check out the events section of this page for our most up-to-date schedule! The OKC Midtown Rotary Foundation is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to the support of The OKC Midtown Rotary Club’s arts and arts education related projects.

Public art makes our communities more vibrant! Oklahoma City is a noted and notable destination for public art and this week has added another must-see stop. With “Light and Airy,” Oklahoma sunsets meet pop art -- and the roundabout at Walker got a lot more colorful. OKC Midtown Rotary is proud to have been a part of bringing this piece (of cake) to life.

May’s club service project was in support of one of our favorite events: Paseo Arts Festival!

The event is such a great Memorial Day weekend tradition for our city and a wonderful way to support the district that pours so much into the arts in OKC.

Last month we were so happy to present a check to , recipient of our Q3 brag and boohoo grant.

Pivot works with young people ages 12-24 who are often homeless or couch-homeless, disconnected or otherwise at-risk. The grant funds helped support Pivot’s Art Night, where kids create art and then get the opportunity to keep the profits from selling their art. SUCH a worthy cause for a great organization.

Thank you to our giving chair Sylvia Sterling (right) pictured here with Pivot’s Executive Director Jennifer Goodrich.

There are so many things make OKC special, but the Festival of the Arts by is right at the top of the list!

Club members spent Tuesday evening helping with some final set up needs! This year promises to be another great year at the festival so be sure to stop by Bicentennial Park this Thursday starting at 11a.

We love seeing our impact on arts and education in real time!

Oklahoma City Public Schools recently hosted an Elementary Visual Art All-City event. We were thrilled to be in attendance. Even more thrilling? The art display boards for the event at Douglass High School were purchased by OKCPS with funds our club donated as part of our 2024/2025 District Grant!

Improving community access to arts and education is what we’re all about. Love to see our contributions in action!
