Oklahoma City Midtown Rotary loves the arts. Big time. As such, we have taken a particular interest in serving the arts community in the Oklahoma City area.

Because we are a group comprised of modern professionals, we try to keep our hands-on service opportunities fun and focused on events that have helped to energize Oklahoma City’s community. Additionally, we actively seek service projects that allow us to promote arts education in Oklahoma City. If that’s not enough for you, we volunteer at least once a month as a club. Organizations and events we support and have volunteered for are deadCENTER Film Festival, Festival of the Arts, OVAC, and Homeless Alliance to name just a few. Midtown Rotary is dedicated to making a positive change in our community one step at a time. This isn’t your grandparent’s Rotary so we encourage anyone interested in creating change to visit our club. You can find us every Tuesday evening, 6 – 7 p.m. at James E. McNellie’s Public House in Midtown. Please check out the events section of this page for our most up-to-date schedule! The OKC Midtown Rotary Foundation is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to the support of The OKC Midtown Rotary Club’s arts and arts education related projects.

Bring friends to form your own team, or collab with your fellow rotarians to take down the competition!

Recognizing a few of our recent speakers!

Charlie Alvarado of Good For A Few gave us a peek into how one of OKC’s most popular cocktail bars operates.

Nicole Poole of SPARK! Creative Lab, Inc. ⚡️💖 talked to us about Spark! Creative Lab’s amazing programming by and for Veterans.

Rick Allen Lippert of Carpenter Square Theatre told us all about the theatre company’s season kicking off this fall.

Mady Hendryx and Rachel Benbrook of The Garde Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center let us in on what the organization is up to this year!

Laura Warriner with ARTSPACE at Untitled shared the details about Steamroller Printmaking Festival happening annually in OKC!

Our club had a great time this weekend helping to set up The Plaza District fest! We were thankful for cool temps and clear skies as we helped the district get ready for their biggest event of the year. Districts like the Plaza District, and these amazing events, help make OKC so special!

We are excited that one of this year’s C.A.M.P artist grants is going toward such a *fresh* event! The Little Trees group art show now in its second year - and with trees created by more than 100 different artists - is opening this week at Canopy Art Center.

In her presentation to the club, we heard from the show’s founder, Maeve Wise, 𝖒 𝖆 𝖊 𝖛 𝖊 𝖜 𝖎 𝖘 𝖊 , that the grant funds helped offset costs to have the blank trees fabricated as well as staffing to increase the length of time that the show will be open to the public.

This week was about good times with good people (and good pizza) at OKC’s oldest bar. TheFleaOKC

We raised a glass to Dolly and, thanks to Susan on the touchtunes, had her music on repeat all night long. 🎤

We had a great Tuesday meeting this week! Our speaker was Rick Allen Lippert of Carpenter Square Theatre. Carpenter Square Theatre

Carpenter Square’s upcoming season - their 43rd - features 8 eight productions, including work from an Oklahoma born playwright, a recent Broadway offering and a work chosen specifically for schools.

We are glad to have CST making theatre in OKC!

Our club volunteers our time and energy to at least one service project each month.

In August we helped out at the ReMerge Inc. Back to School Bash that supports ReMerge families with the resources they need to start the school year on the right foot.

We were so glad to help ReMerge distribute backpacks to over 220 kids! It’s kinda chic to volunteer!
