OKC Midtown Rotary Club

Oklahoma City Midtown Rotary loves the arts. Big time. As such, we have taken a particular interest in serving the arts community in the Oklahoma City area.

Because we are a group comprised of modern professionals, we try to keep our hands-on service opportunities fun and focused on events that have helped to energize Oklahoma City’s community. Additionally, we actively seek service projects that allow us to promote arts education in Oklahoma City. If that’s not enough for you, we volunteer at least once a month as a club. Organizations and events we

support and have volunteered for are deadCENTER Film Festival, Festival of the Arts, OVAC, and Homeless Alliance to name just a few. Midtown Rotary is dedicated to making a positive change in our community one step at a time. This isn’t your grandparent’s Rotary so we encourage anyone interested in creating change to visit our club. You can find us every Tuesday evening, 6 – 7 p.m. at James E. McNellie’s Public House in Midtown. Please check out the events section of this page for our most up-to-date schedule! The OKC Midtown Rotary Foundation is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to the support of The OKC Midtown Rotary Club’s arts and arts education related projects.

We raised a glass to Dolly and, thanks to Susan on the touchtunes, had her music on repeat all night long. 🎤

We had a great Tuesday meeting this week! Our speaker was Rick Allen Lippert of Carpenter Square Theatre. Carpenter Square Theatre

Carpenter Square’s upcoming season - their 43rd - features 8 eight productions, including work from an Oklahoma born playwright, a recent Broadway offering and a work chosen specifically for schools.

We are glad to have CST making theatre in OKC!

Our club volunteers our time and energy to at least one service project each month.

In August we helped out at the ReMerge Inc. Back to School Bash that supports ReMerge families with the resources they need to start the school year on the right foot.

We were so glad to help ReMerge distribute backpacks to over 220 kids! It’s kinda chic to volunteer!

Tonight we learned more about the upcoming Oklahoma Comic Arts Festival from board member Brian Winkeler of Oklahoma Comic Arts Foundation!

Join us this Tuesday night during our regular meeting time at Anthem Brewing for our July service project! 🍻This project will benefit the OKC Animal Shelter. OKC Animal Welfare

What to bring:
✂️scissors to cut fabric scraps
👕old clean t-shirts you no longer want

Will be making dog toys 🐕 out of old t-shirts, enjoying local craft beer, and hanging with fellow club members and guests.

All are welcome! Bring yourself and a friend and let’s have a great Tuesday night!

We had an excellent first meeting of the new board year this week hosted by our new President Leah Roper.

Midtown Rotary was thrilled to welcome Jonathan Rogers, a student at Midwest City High School who is also President of his school’s Interact club. He spoke beautifully about his recent trip to Japan through the Wings of Rotary program, which our club helped support. Thanks to everyone who attended!

We will see you next week to hear from Oklahoma Contemporary!

As this board year officially comes to an end, we’re thinking back on all the incredible Tuesday night speakers, meaningful service projects and fun nights we had together this year!

Thanks to our board members who worked so hard to make it a great year!

Most of all, thanks to everyone who spoke to our club, attended a meeting, gave time to a service project or donated to the causes we support in arts and education in central Oklahoma!
