Summer vacation 🏖 is ending, and school is about to start back. But WAIT! That's great! WHY, you ask??? Because it means the 2024-25 exchange students have started to arrive! 🥳🥳🥳 Yay! It's so exciting!! 🎉🎊We've gotten to know these students while trying to find them a host family. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦We know what they like to do. 🚴🤹‍♀️🩰🎨🎤🎷🎸🥁⛳️ Their hobbies. 🤸⛹️🤾‍♂️🏇🏌️🏊‍♀️🚣‍♀️🤽‍♂️ Their family life. Their favorite subjects in school. Their goals and dreams and future career plans. 👩‍💼👩‍🚒🧑‍🚀👨‍⚖️👩‍🔬 We've texted and video called with them. And finally, they are here!!! In person! Exhausted 😴from flying ✈️ all day and some all night. Overwhelmed by so much English. Ready for a warm shower 🛁 and clean clothes. 👚👕But welcomed home 🏠 with loving arms 🤗 by their American family! 🇺🇸 It's an honor and privilege to be a part of each of these stories. It's humbling to be a part of a community that opens their hearts ❤ and homes 🏠 to students around the world 🇮🇹🇩🇪🇯🇵🇪🇸🇫🇷 🇧🇷 and I can't wait to see what this year brings!

As we celebrate our nation’s birthday and independence, what do YOU like best about our country? Maybe it’s our freedoms, our beautiful landscapes, our culture, our traditions or maybe just the spirit of our people!

We can improve the way others see us, one person at a time! Open your home to an exchange student for just 3, 5 or 10 months and be a difference maker! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! I'm so very blessed to be called mom by my own biological children, but also by 14 (YES- 14!) International sons & daughters! I'm so glad my family decided to try hosting for the first time about 13 years ago! I know we've made a difference in their lives, but they have also made quite the difference in ours, too! If you would like more information about growing your family by welcoming an exchange student this fall, I would love to share my experiences with you. No experience required!!!! And you don't even have to have kids of your own or kids in your home! All types of families are welcomed! Have a wonderful Mother's Day everyone!

It’s me, hi! I’m that girl, it’s me 👋
I was recently explaining to people how I work with exchange students and families in our local community, and someone said, “I always wondered how people became a host family, but I didn’t know where to start!” And the answer is… me 🙋‍♀️
Our nonprofit is looking for host families for exchange students next school year. I walk you through all the steps and help you and your student(s) while they’re here (either a semester or year).
