We were honored to have our President, Sam Pappas, speak at the Faith in Business breakfast with CBMC Oklahoma - Christian Business Men's Connection today on the topic of “Competing in Business, United in Faith.” Sam teamed up with CEC's Chairman of the Board, Marty Hepp, to share how faith changes everything in the way we view business, and how Christ-centered leadership, integrity, and relationships shape not only companies, but people.

Join us either in Moore at First United Bank or in north OKC in the CEC Community Room for CBMC’s First Thursday Prayer Gathering, a casual gathering of businessmen committed to praying for each other, our families and businesses, and for our nation.

We start with fellowship around coffee and donuts, followed by a short devotional message before we break into small groups for personal prayer. Nobody gets put on the spot or asked to join anything. It’s a safe place to come meet other Christian businessmen from the area and learn about CBMC.

We meet on the First Thursday of every month!

A new year doesn’t mean fixing everything.

It means becoming new.

What if this year isn’t about trying harder—but letting God do a new work in you?

“Behold, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

As the year closes, Christmas can easily become about deadlines, deals, and traditions. In business, it’s the final push. In culture, it’s the noise.

But Christmas didn’t begin with sales or celebrations—it began in Bethlehem.

If the joy feels quieter than it once did, perhaps it’s an invitation to pause and remember why Christmas exists at all.

Challenge: What does the birth of Jesus mean for your life today—and how does that truth shape the way you lead?

From Oklahoma City to Oregon, David Curran proves that calling doesn’t retire—it redeploys. After decades in business, he’s answering a new mission: to equip men to fight spiritual battles in the workplace and bring light to the Pacific Northwest. His story reminds us that when God calls, comfort isn’t the goal—obedience is. From the Connector, CBMC’s bi-annual newsletter.
