Fortitude Priory, Order of Knighthood

Now that we have had time to get home and say hello to family and catch up on some sleep it is time for an update!

This past weekend Sir Knight Bo Ross II our State Illustrious Knight Commander, Sir Knight Michael Parker our State Squire Commander, and Sir Knight Nathan Kendall our State Page Commander took a journey down to Ft. Worth Texas to attend not just one but two installations of officers. First we attended the Installation of H. Malvern Marks Chapter where Brother Logan Perrin was installed as Master Councilor for the upcoming term. The second installation was for Michie M. Brous Priory where Sir Knight Christian Russell was installed to Illustrious Knight Commander of the priory. To make it even cooler it was the first full installation of officers for the priory since the priory’s reopening post COVID-19.

Throughout the weekend we were greeted with open arms, comradeship and brotherhood! We were shown around the amazing city of Ft. Worth by the Deputy State Illustrious Knight Commander Sir Knight Corwin Campbell. Brother Campbell took us to some amazing places for food as well as different attractions. The best of them being the Ft. Worth Stock Yards where we got to eat some amazing food and even see a live cattle drive before we had to get to the train station to start the journey home.

In conclusion we would like to thank H. Malvern Marks Chapter, Michie M. Brous Priory, and Texas DeMolay for the amazing hospitality that we received. We would like to wish all of you good luck and congratulations on your upcoming terms! Last Saturday (June 4th), Oklahoma Knighthood assembled at the Guthrie Scottish Rite for our state Convocation. Much fun was had, and we were happy to welcome six new Knights into the fold!

Feel free to reach out to us if you know a DeMolay who is interested in Knighthood. Requirements are to be a Past Master Councilor or Chevalier.

Yesterday, Fortitude Priory had a great time playing paintball with some wonderful Knighthood prospects!

Knighthood's requirements to be considered as a prospect are to be a Past Master Councilor in DeMolay, an active councilor with a chapter, or a Chevalier.

Actively joining Knighthood has a requirement of being a PMC or a Chevalier of over 16 years of age.

We came out of our annual Winterfest event to experience actual winter this week! At least one of our Knights will be staying warm and cozy though, after taking home one of Oklahoma DeMolay's most coveted prizes of the year - Oklahoma York Rite DeMolay of the Year! He joins a long line of Sir Knights to be awarded this distinction, along with a sword engraved with his name! Congratulations, Sir Knight Bo!
